"You're absolutely beautiful."
I saw Asher approach me from behind as I looked at my reflection in the mirror.
I sucked in a deep breath because no matter what he said, it always gave me butterflies. It was so easy to say I was in love with him. I turned myself around, the dress I was wearing twirling with me, and looked up at him.
"You're absolutely handsome," I replied with a cheeky smile. He was wearing a gray suit with a purple bowtie, courtesy of Keira. I put my arms around his neck when he hugged me, holding me there for longer than usual. I kissed his cheek and pulled back.
"What's up?" I asked. He looked at me and grinned.
"Nothing. Are you ready to go?" He held his hand out for me to take. I grabbed it and we walked hand-in-hand out of the small room I had been staying in.
About one month back I decided to head back to the U.S and gather all my things. I left Asher here to deal with his business with the band while Ellie went with me. Ellie left her things in New York where she knew she would have to return to finish school, and I eventually realized I would have to do that also. I only had maybe a year left before I was a certified psychologist, but I could easily take my summer vacation and turn it into a job for my art career.
Brody and Keira also decided to move their wedding to the summer for many reasons. There was a short break from tour in the month of June, so they decided it would be a better time. Also, Brody wanted time off after the loss of his mom. Asher and Brody have been inseparable since they were able to spend time together again. Asher was also Brody's Best Man.
I loved seeing the two of them become as close as they used to be.
The wedding was being held in a garden outside of Keira's parents' home. It was absolutely beautiful with the perfectly cut bushes, yet there was a messy kind of rustic look to the whole shebang. I absolutely loved and it had me thinking about my wedding one day.
But when I began to think about that, I imagined who the man standing next me would be on that special day. Yet every single time it came to mind, the only person I could see myself saying "I do" to was Asher.
We were walking through the path that lead to the room where Asher was supposed to be with the rest of the groomsmen when I stopped in my tracks. Asher stopped and looked at me with an eyebrow raised.
"What?" He asked. There was a different feeling to everything all of a sudden. I couldn't explain it, but everything just felt... fuller.
"I love you," I mumbled before kissing him. He looked at me skeptically before repeating my own words.
"I need to go meet up with the guys," Asher said, referring to the groomsmen that included the whole band plus Mia's brother, Liam. Asher pulled me close to him and pressed his forehead to mine, kissing me one last time before disappearing.
The guests had already started to arrive by then. Ellie and I agreed to sit together to watch since we weren't bridesmaids. Keira was still practically a stranger to me. I had yet to get to know her and I couldn't wait to.
On my way to meet with Ellie, the bridesmaids were making their way out where they would wait for Keira. Mia was a bridesmaid also, since she spent a lot of the time on the road with Ben and the rest of the band.
But Keira was not behind them. I looked into the room where Keira was sitting on the couch, holding the bottom of her silky wedding gown in her lap. She looked absolutely stunning from what I could see, but she also looked scared out of her mind.
"Keira? Are you okay?" I asked as I neared her. She looked over at me and I saw the panic in her eyes.
"No," she answered honestly, her accent strong. "I'm scared out of my mind."
