Chapter 3: Crosses don't work on vampires!!

||Mayu's POV||

I left the music room and walked down the hallway and stepped out of the school. As I was walking down the streets, I thought about that guy from the music room and what he said. 'You have a nice voice.' His words repeated in my mind and I blushed.

"I don't have a nice voice...He's just lying..." I mumble quietly while slapping my blushed face lightly.

"I'm not lying. You really have a nice voice." A voice spoke lazily from behind. I yelp in surprise and turn around slowly. And there stood the guy from the music room.

"W-Wha...? Are you following me?!" I exclaim in shock. He just looked at me with a sleepy expression. "I'm not. I just happened to be here with my brothers." He answered. I tilt my head. "With your brothers? Where?" I ask in confusion. "Behind you." He said.

I turn around and saw five guys standing there while staring at me. I gulp nervously. This is so not gonna end well for me. I step back slowly and bumped into someone. I look back and saw that I bumped into the guy from the music room. I jump back in surprise. I need to run! I can't die today!

"Hm...You look scared." The guy who bit me, smirked. I glare at him. "I'll kick your face." I snap at him. He just ignored what I said and just smirked while staring at me.

"What do you guys want?" I ask them. The guy with the glasses spoke up. "We want you to come with us." He said, as he push up his glasses. I raise an eyebrow at him. "And why do you think I'll go with you?" I question him with a blank expression.

"Because you have no other choice." He answered. "No way. I'm not going with you creeps! Why do you need me for anyway, huh?!" I yelled at them. Then, I realize something.

Vampires drink blood to quench their thirst. The victim either dies from massive blood loss OR the vampires keeps the victim as their bloodbag.

Oh no. Oh no no no no no. I can't die today! I don't wanna become their bloodbag! This is bad...This is really really bad!

I then think of a way to escape and got an idea. I point behind them. "Oh, look! Its the Mukami brothers!" I fake-exclaim in surprise. They look back and that's my cue to run! I dash down the streets quickly and didn't look back.

I saw a store ahead so I ran faster. I enter the store and look around. There were so many holy stuffs. I grab a bunch of holy crosses ✝ and some holy waters. I bought them and step out of the store in triumph. Now, they can't get me. Mwahahahaha!!!

I saw them walking towards me so I got ready. Once they were near, I showed them the holy crosses. "Take this, you stupid vampires!!" I yell out as I laughed. Since, I didn't hear any screams, I look at them, to see them...staring at me with a blank expression.

"Why didn't it work?!" I shout out. I threw the holy crosses at them but they didn't react anything. I threw the holy water at them but it didn't work either, they just got all wet. I step back in confusion. "Why didn't it work...?...I thought crosses were vampires' weakness..." I was confused.

They look at me as if I'm the stupidest person ever. "Did you really think that will work on us? Man...you humans are so stupid." The guy who bit me, said. I look down in confusion. "I...I don't understand...The book said that you guys were weak against crosses..." I mumble softly.

"The book is a lie. They don't know anything about us. They just know that we drink blood." The glasses boy said. I look at him. "Its a lie? What?" I ask in confusion. "Yes. The book is a lie. They just wrote what they saw. They don't know anything." He answered.

"Wrote what they saw? What do you mean?" I ask him. "A man was--" He got cut off by the guy who bit me. "Let's just take her and finish the job!" He yell out in annoyance. I widen my eyes. "F-Finish the j-job?! W-What job?!" I ask in fear.

He smirk. "Well, to drink every ounce of your blood, of course." He said, while licking his lips. I flinch at what he said. "Y-You can't do that!" I cross my arms.

"And why is that?" He ask. "Coz'...coz'...Coz' my blood is poisonous!" I said with a serious expression. They furrowed their eyebrows in confusion. "Your blood is poisonous? But, I tasted it and it was fine and sweet." The guy that bit me, said.

"My blood will be sweet and tasty at first but when the blood spreads through your body and reach the heart...You'll die!" I exclaim dramatically. He widen his eyes. "What?!" He yell in shock.

I was trying hard not to laugh. I look at them with a serious expression. "Now that you know that my blood is poisonous, you won't need me anymore. So, I'll be taking my leave now. Bye~" I turn around and start walking ahead while laughing quietly.

"You have no choice but to come with us." A voice said. I turn around. "Wha--" Before I had the chance to ask,
