Chapter 2

June 21, 11:30 PM

Kristina POV

When we pulled up in her driveway we walked back inside the house to freshen up a little until her friend Jeremiah told us to come outside. He was driving a burgundy Mercedes G-Wagon with a slight tint but I could see that it was two of them. Mick and I walked down to the car and climbed into the backseat.

"Hey Jeremiah" Mick said smiling towards him

"Hey Kinz this my nigga Lucas" He said while dapping the both of us up

"Hey I'm Kristina" I said introducing myself

"So where y'all wanna go" He said pulling off

"Can we get some cookout I haven't ate since before the party earlier" Mick said slumping into the seat

"You always want some cookout, do you have cookout money?"

"No but my bestest friend in the world does" She said while cheesing at me

"You're funny but since I love you so much i'll pay this one time" I said while rolling my eyes and laughing.

After we all got something to snack on we went into a empty WalMart parking lot and Jeremiah's friend who I believe was Lucas began to roll.

"Do either of you know how to roll" He said turning back to face us

"Yea but I have my nails done and I can't break them" Mick said

His voice was so deep and masculine and oddly familiar I tried to think of maybe where I heard it but I just couldn't put my finger on it. I was still waiting on a text back from this boy on instagram because he made some good conversation. About 5 minutes later we had the blunt in rotation and the car was starting to get a little smoky.

"I'm sorry y'all I really can't breathe" I said a hour later opening the door and climbing out to catch some fresh air. The passenger door opened after I got out and Lucas got out the car.

"You new to this I could hear you trying to hide your coughing too" He said while chuckling and I caught a glimpse of his bottom grill shining.

"No it's not that I just haven't done it in a while"

"Wait I think i'm texting you right now you're that girl from instagram earlier" He said while playing with his chin hairs.

"That is right I knew your voice was familiar from some of your videos I just couldn't put my finger on it. Look at God he does work in mysterious ways huh?"

"Yea that's crazy you look better in person though" He said while he licked his bottom lip

"Does that mean I looked ugly on instagram" I said with a playful smirk on my lips.

"Nah not at all if that's the case you wouldn't have even received a tbh"

"I can't tell I'm still waiting on a text back in general" I said laughing

"You wilding" He said while shaking his head with his grill shining. "I'll be sure to after we leave y'all"

I checked my phone it was about 2:00 and the time had really just flew. I opened snapchat and put the dog filter on.

"Ay get me on there" He said while starting to stroke his chin. I turned the camera side ways and so the dog filter could get on both of us.

"No take that over I wasn't ready I wasn't expecting you to turn it sideways."

I rolled my eyes and took it over then added a smirk face and the eyes and posted it on my story.

Jeremiah began driving us back to Mick neighborhood and Lucas was now in the back seat with me. I was dancing to each song on the radio in my seat while Lucas just laughed.

"What's funny"

"You. It's like 3 in the morning and you're the hypest person in the car"

"C'mon get lit with me" He shook his head and kept laughing

I stale faced him and he stared at me back and it was a very intense stare down that we were having. It seemed like our faces were getting closer as time passed. The sound of a door opening drew us out of this trance and I had realized that we were outside her house. I told
Jeremiah and Lucas bye and was right behind Mick as we quietly walked back into her house. As soon as the door closed my phone buzzed.
