Little introduction
They stand silent and mysterious on the Giza Plateau in Egypt - three mighty pyramids and six smaller ones. Meanwhile, across the world, vast pyramidlike structures tower above the rainforests of Central and South America - monuments of great empires which now have disappeared.
There where more then three dozen kings' pyramids in Egypt, but as time passed, all knowledge of their royal history was lost. People came up with some wired ideas, believing that the pyramids were anything from ancient observatory's to the work of visitors of outer space! Totally Unrealistic I know!
It was not until the nineteenth century A.D. that the pyramids were examined in great detail. Since the age of the first explorers, lots of puzzles have been solved, but modern science still cannot explain many unanswered questions in the last several years, a French and a Japanese team have both claimed that there are other chambers in the Great Pyramid at Giza, unopened since the days of Khufu over 4,000 years ago. What secrets might these chambers reveal? Will they help us to understand the great civilization of Egypt? Only time will tell.
