e:I stuff my backpack with all of my makeup work. Hm. The weight on my back was heavier than it should have been. I only had a week's worth of homework-- majority of which was online and sent through school email. Whatever.
"Eren, you ready?" asked Mikasa from behind me.
"Yeah, let's go".
We walked ourselves out of the door.
"Eren, you should try to brace yourself because I've heard that a lot of crazy crap has gone down while you weren't here. Also, there's a new transfer student from France, he came after the day you left."
"Hm, so after he moved here, everything normal was shook?"
"Exactly, if you happen to run in to him, promise me you'll stay away from him"
"Okay...?"
" Don't hang out with him when you don't need to" she said with a frank face.
That's a pretty random thing to say, but nothing new.Mikasa has always been very picky about the people I hang out with. I know she's trying to do what's best for me, but I'm 16. She's only older than me by 12 days and she acts like I'm her son more so her brother.
We had finally arrived at the blissful campus of Sina High School.
"Eren, Mikasa!" My eyes were torn from the ground to meet with Armin's. He was a lone little wolf, out of breath from the little bit of trotting that he's done.
"Hey dude, you alright?" I questioned. Was he running from something, was he having some sort of mental attack?
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just forgot my inhaler"
"Aren't you suppose to have a backup in the nurse's office?" questioned Mikasa with concern.
Armin looked clueless, as if he's never heard of having a backup just in case something happened.
None of the three of us said anything, but walked on in silence. The bell rang and Mikasa and Armin split away saying goodbye as they walked towards their Music Studies class while I walked to my Elective class which was Photography. I've always had an eye for pictures-- those of which that were captured during a raw and untouched moment. I've yet to reach the level that can personally affect others though... I need a model; a model that is relaxed and uninvolved with their surroundings.
I open the bulky door to see an empty classroom except for four other students and.... the Raven?! My eyes became large when I looked at him. He didn't notice I was there-- in fact he was too busy staring at his hands which rested underneath his desk. I assumed he was on his phone because I saw he face glow with a blue tint.
My desk just happened to be right in front of his. It wouldn't be awkward if I were to say "hi" right? After all we met each other before... not in the way a person is used to meeting someone, but we still met. What was even worse was that his feet were pushed onto the back of my chair. If I wanted to sit down, he would have to remove his feet so that i could sit down and I really did not want to disturb him. He had that gloomy look on his face.
I just decided to go along with whatever happened. I made my way to my seat looking down all the while. As I sat down, I felt his eyes leave the screen of the phone and look up at me and then back to his electronic portable. Surely he would have realized it was me by my messy brown hair and weird hazel green eyes right? Did he just ignore me because he didn't like me or did he not realize it was me. Despite my mind telling me no, my body turned around to look at him. He took his eyes and dragged them up slowly; hesitatingly. I musked up everything I had and sat tall and confidently. His feet quickly slipped off of the back of my chair. This was the moment I had to say something
"Sorry"I laughed...He just made a tch noise with his tongue and looked back at his phone"...I know you remember me." I stated with authority. He stared at me as if I was speaking some foreign language. It took a while before he responded.
"No." he said coldly and went back to looking at his phone.
The way he had said his no really shook me to the core for some reason. I knew my face looked worried and honestly, I was for some reason. "Oh.." I had finally sighed. My body slumped back into my chair. I was disappointed in myself for losing my confidence so fast because I knew for a fact that he did remember me, so why would he say no? I hadn't even noticed that the room had filled up with students until our teacher walked in.
"Bonjour, class!" , she grinned. Every student said a "Hello" back except for the raven who responded with "Bonjour, Mademoiselle". I thought I was the only one who heard but was proven wrong when the teacher walked up and squated beside his desk.
"Français aussi? Hm, ça va?" she smiled out through her mouth. "Ça va comme ci, comme ça..." he replied in a very monotone voice. She laughed quietly and returned to the front of the class to get the students' attention again.
"Class, Class! Your attention please. You've already began your projects, but I think there are about two students who need to catch up. Would anybody be willing to let them into their group?", she announced. The whole class remained still and silent, trying to avoid any possible eye contact with her. I knew for a fact she was talking about me, but who else? Was the raven here on the first day? I was lost in my thoughts until a boy named Marco raised his hand. He was truly one of the sweetest people at the school and genuinely meant his kindness. "I can take them. Jean isn't feeling well and I'm sort of working alone. I can tell them what to do and when Jean comes back, they can just pair up with each other" he said. "Yeah, okay. Bien! So Eren and... Ackerman?" she looked at the raven. She was just as clueless about what his name could be as I was. "I am sorry sweetheart, I haven't updated my roster, so please just go to Marco. He will help you and answer most questions you have". The both of us grabbed our stuff and walked over to the freckled boy. He shone with a bright smile and his eyes crinkled up at the corners.
"So basically, all you guys need to do is introduce yourselves to each other" the boy looked at the two of us anticipating . "Oh-oh,um.. I'm Eren" i stuck my hand out to shake his though i didn't get the expected reaction. "It's Levi. Let's just hurry up and get started." I was shook with his cold-stone tone. The name truly suited him.. something about his raven hair contrasting with his cool winter skin didn't mix with his baby blue-grey eyes threw off my mentality. I sighed heavily and the two of us stared each other in the eye until he smirked and turned away.
"Don't say a word brat" he sighed out.
Oi, sorry for not updating in a loooong time, just been busy and i have a small following. Also, it's 11:50pm right now and I should be asleep, so I'll revise this better in the morning. Probably shouldn't throw out trashy tuff like this, but i wanted to get at least something out there sooo.. yeah/
