Chapter 1
I awoke from a good night's sleep with my girlfriend, Ella, practically laying on top of me. Well, I say 'girlfriend', when I think what describes her best is my own personal sandwich maker.
Yes, you read that right. She's my sandwich maker.
No, I don't call her by that. The easiest way to explain this would be to say; we're like business partners. She does me a favour - she makes me sandwiches - and I, well, return it. And let me make one thing clear. If you don't want a stressfull day with an added headache, then you do not want to be around this woman twenty-four, seven.
I suppose if you really thought about it, this 'relationship' makes us come across as being a tad selfish.
Think about it from our point of view. I guess we're just friends helping eachother out. Come to think of it, 'friendship' wouldn't be the best choice of words. We're really like brother and sister who argue over everything. Take me seriously; when I say everything, I mean it.
Arguing over small things like what we're having for dinner every night, that's normal.
And there's also arguing over quite big things, like where this relationship of ours is even going... Yeah, that's normal too.
I gave Ella a gentle push and she rolled off of me to the other side of the bed. I didn't have to worry about waking her up because she is one heck of a heavy sleeper. Of course, I pushed her lightly for the effect of being a gentleman. Which, of course, I always am.
I brought myself to my feet. As I made my way around the bed, I took a look at my sleeping beauty. You know, when she's sleeping, she looks so - snore - ....peaceful.
I smiled to myself and shook my head, proceeding my journey to my chest of drawers. I picked out a casual light grey tee shirt and a pair of slack jeans. I pullsed them on and made my way into the bathroom.
I picked up my toothbrush and toothepaste and scrubbed my teeth clean. I inspected my pearly whites in the mirror with a grin that makes all the girls swoon. It's just a charm I have.
Now, time to wake Ella up. Walking back into the bedroom, a bright idea popped into my head.
I sneakily grabbed my pillow, an evil grin spreading across my features. Was this too cruel? Well she'd get be back for it anyway.
Brace yourselves, she's really not a morning person.
*WHACK!*
I'll tell you this as a warning. Don't EVER wake your girlfriend up with a pillow to the face. It isn't pretty. Especially when she somehow manages to make you drive her wherever she wants for the next two days.
But the look on her face was so worth it. A cross between a, 'huh, what the fudge is going on?' and a, 'the next person to move is a dead man' expression. Priceless!
I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, that was a harsh way to wake someone up; especially your girlfriend.
Yes, I totally agree. It was harsh of me. But I couldn't resist!
"Don't do that again! Ugh, I have a headache now. And it's all your fault. Why can't you just wake me up like a sane person, huh? Why do you have to be a prick and hit me in the face with a pillow?" She blabbed.
I had to laugh. Her reaction was so damn funny. Glare. Wrong time to laugh? I think so.
'It's alright, think poker face' I convinced myself internally. Although, it wasn't quite working so well. Why is it that when you're trying to hold a straight face, you laugh?
"You're so hard to cope with, you know that?"
I nodded. If I keep quiet and let her blab some more, she'll get over it. Eventually..
"For once in your life, can't you be mature? Do you have to be so annoying? Are you like this with your parents? I hope not. I bet you're not like this with anyone else but me. Why me? Do you hate me? Man, you're annoying!"
Silence filled the room for a few minutes while she calmed down, "have you put the kettle on? I need a coffee."
I shook my head, in return she huffed and shoved her face to her pillow.
"I'll go turn it on, get yourself out of bed then, sleepy-head," I joked.
*
Fifteen minutes later I returned to the bedroom with two cups of steaming hot coffee. I knew she wouldn't get up. She'd just go back to sleep, and my expectations were correct. She was fast asleep.
I placed the coffee mug on the bedside table and nudged her arm gently. I think going for the pillow again wasn't an option. She mumbled a few words along the lines of, 'huh, what, Luke?'. I nudged her arm once more and her eyes slowly opened. I take it she inhaled the smell of her morning coffee, because she shot up in a flash.
She took hold of her coffee mug and took a long drink, with a sleepy sigh after it. What can I say? She loves coffee in a morning. She depends on it, really, otherwise she just wouldn't get up.
"Luke?" she mumbled, taking another sip of her coffee.
"Yeah," I answered giving her one of my dazzling grins.
"We have to visit my mom today."
The grin fell straight off my face like the Devil himself had stolen it from me.

Hi guys!
Let me just say that this is my first story, and I'm not sure whether I should keep writing.
I have a few ideas for it, and knowing me, I'll probably carry on writing it anyway.
Ok, I'm not one of those annoying writers who beg for votes.
No, you can vote out of personal choice. Feel free to do what you like, comment what you think... Do whatever.
Thankyou for reading!
