Ok. I don't know why this keeps happening but for some reason, every time I go somewhere new or move to a new school, I end up getting swarmed by girls...and guys. I mean it's great and all but I seriously think that personal space is not part of an average joe's mindset. I guess I understand, not everyone can be what I am. Not everyone can be cool, collected and talented all while having to change schools every few years. I guess that's what's great about me. I'm just too amazing for people to stay away from.

I'm Jason Cowrie, the obviously amazing and instantly popular new kid.
Today is a Tuesday and it started like any other. The sun was shining through my window, because the housekeeper had forgotten to close the silk curtains, and a small section of brilliant blue could be seen illuminating through the dark grey clouds that filled the majority of the sky. Today was my first day at my new high school and if things went like they usually did, then I was going to have an easy, fun filled and glamorous last three years of school. I hop lightly out of my bed ,pull on my designated house robe and slide down the hallway to the smell of fresh bacon and egg. Although she had forgotten to draw my curtains, our new housekeeper, Margaret, made up for her shortcomings with an exceptional talent for cooking... Or should I say egg-ceptional. Get it? Ahh, you're laughing on the inside. Anyway, after downing a filling breakfast I head back upstairs.

I'm in my room and I'm facing a huge problem; what the heck am I gonna wear !? 20 minutes go by and I finally set my eyes upon the perfect outfit. Jason my man, you've done it again. My self praise is abruptly interrupted by my dad calling me from the other end of the hallway. Apparently I had taken too much time to get ready... Great.
Just what I needed, an angry parent and being late on my first day at my new school. Things just couldn't be better. Now, thanks to dad, I was completely stressed out and had to rush my getting ready. Black jeans, Levis of course; grey singlet, green and grey Nikes and last but not least my green khaki coat. I rush out of the door without a minute to spare. That was a close one.

I'm fixing my hair in the car and I start to wonder what the school will be like. What'll the guys be like? Are there gonna be any cute girls? Oh Heaven and Hell on a dinner plate... Did I choose the right outfit!? My head is swirling and I'm completely losing it, even though I know everything will go exactly as it always does. Then to add to my brain breaking panic, dad starts the " I know it will be hard at your new school but I want you to try your best" speech. Here we go again. I drown out the speech for the most part and just nod and pretend like I care. Finally we pull up outside of the school and low and behold, as soon as I step out of the car seat and onto to school grounds everyone notices.

I quickly nod at my dad and he takes the hint and leaves. Then I'm greeted by every single girl within a ten meter radius and soon I'm surrounded by guys and girls alike who all want to know my mobile number and social media and what I had for breakfast. Just as I suspected. This has happened at every school I'd been to in the past three years. As quickly as the crowd surrounds me, it splits apart again as a group of six kids approach me. They are obviously the popular population of the school and to no avail they are seeking me as a member of their posy. The guy who is most likely the leader steps toward me and offers his had for me to shake, he introduces himself,
" hi, I'm Alex Blazer and these are my friends, Dana, Andrew, Matt, Connor and Sarah. It's nice to meet you." Wow he's really polite. I was actually surprised. I guessed I shouldn't leave him hanging.
" Hi, I'm Jason Cowrie. Good to meet you too."
It's probably better if stay on good terms with these guys, they look like the real deal. Alex approves and counties to invite me to sit with the group at lunch and talk a bit more about myself.

I'm talking to Dana about annoying parents and enjoying being fawned over by very person in my grade when I catch someone out the corner of my eye. She walks through the gate and takes one look at me and the large group of kids surrounding me, then makes a half pissed off half unimpressed face and continues on her way without taking any further notice. I had no idea what it was, but something about this unimpressed girl was off, something was different. But one thing I knew for sure was that I definitely didn't appreciate her staring at me like I'd just exited the city zoo. I mean come on! At least show some interest in me. Ask a question, come take a closer look, anything. It's at that point that I realise that I hate her. For some reason she just started grating on my nerves and I was not looking forward to seeing her again.
