Master RJ is home. I sense him. I hear his car pull over the driveway. It's 1am.
He pats my head and hugs me when he passes me by before he checks on my water bowl. He refills it then heads on over to the couch to take off his shoes.
I take his slippers with my mouth from the shelf by the door and drops them at his feet. He smiles at me then gently rubs my fur and lifts me up to sit next to him.
He pulls out his phone from his pocket and opens it. Its screen lights up illuminating his face. Mistress Maine's face appears on the screen. He smiles wider. The face on the screen suddenly moves. I bark because it startles me.
"Hi Love, bahay na ko."
"Hi Mahal, si Globie ba yun?"
"Yep, katabi ko. Nagulat ata sayo."
"Hi Globie." I wiggle my tail excitedly as I move closer to where my master is, putting my paws on his lap, peeking into the screen and seeing my Mistress's beautiful face smiling at me. I attempt to lick the screen but Master RJ was quick to pull his phone away.
"Love, gusto ka ata kausapin ni Globie. Ang cute. Hahaha."
"Awww, Hi Globie. Miss mo na si Mommy Menggay?" I bark again in response because I do.
It's been a while since I last saw her but she always talks to my Master every night, her face always on his phone screen talking to him before he goes to sleep.
I follow my Master to his bedroom as they continue talking in hushed voices, sometimes whispering, sometimes giggling. He talks to her in a soft warm voice I've never heard him use before he met Mistress. His face lights up whenever he hears her voice, he almost always bursts with joy every time they are next to each other.
I wag my tail again. I am very happy for him. I love Mistress too because she loves my Master. She takes care of him. She makes my Master very, very happy.
