I'm plumiting down a black abyss, wind whistling past my ears, fear tugging desperately at my gut.  My hair is coming loose, pearls on strings ripping away from the mousey brown and falling ahead of me.  I am in a cyan dress, the material floating about, whiping wildly in the wind.

I hear the sound of water.  Fast water.  Below me, rushing rapids come into view, jagged rock protruding from the icy water.  I suck in my breath and--

And I wake up.  My iPhone alarm buzzes loudly and I snatch it from my bed-side table, sliding my thumb across the screen to stop the noise.  I roll out of bed and land on the wooden floor with a loud thump.  Groaning I sit up, rubbing my eyes and stretching my arms.  I use my bed to lazily help me stand before I walk from my room and across the hall to the bathroom, my feet making that weird sticky noise as I step.  I enter the bathroom and lock the door behind me, flicking on the light and blinking rapidly until my eyes adjust.  I turn the shower on and wait as it heats up, peeling my pajamas off I step into the shower and let the hot water wash over me.  I think about my dream, it's been something that happens every night now, and has been for over a week.  I don't understand.  What does it mean?  I swear if it means someone pushing me, I'll haunt them even after they're dead.
