Chapter 11
Leah peeked inside Jack's office he had in their new home as of the last two weeks, he had being staying up late the last couple of night going over a case his step-father gave him control over. She slid inside sandwich in one hand and the glass of pomegranate juice in the other. Placing them on the side of his desk, she wrapped her arms around his shoulders resting her cheek against his.
"Thanks, Lee." He sipped his drink. "What is this?"
"It's pomegranate juice, I read that is good for the brain. I figured you can use the extra boosted." He turned in his posh chair and pulled her into his lap. Leah relocated her arms around his neck, admiring his combed back hair that was slightly disheveled; His small framed glasses adding to his charming smile.
"My brain appreciates it." He kissed her lips quickly, just before she pulled him back savoring the few moments that they have been able to share in the last few days. He drew back, and nipped her chin.
"What was that for? Though I'm not complaining, it was a nice little escape, but I feel like you want something." Leah let out a small giggle.
"You know me so well." She allowed her fingers to leisurely play with his hair at the nape of his neck. His closed his eyes, and groaned biting his lower lip.
"Have I mentioned how great you look wearing your glasses? It's rare that you use them, but when you do. I can't seem to stop touching you."
"Leah," He warned. "You are either trying to get me to do something I don't like or you are looking for me to make a mess of my desk."
"Jack I think you and Adam such spend some time together, hang out for a night. Do guys stuff and get along." His intense blue eyes popped open.
"What? No absolutely not. We have zero things in common. At first he just disliked me and after that incident of us getting caught in bed, he hates me now. So I rather not."
"Please for me, I really want for my best friend and boyfriend to get long. He will be your brother in law, don't you think this affects Val also?"
He hiked up one eyebrow in a challenge, "Funny you should mention Val. I don't recall the two of you ever hanging out."
She opened her mouth to speak but she had nothing, nodding in agreement she sighed. "You're right. So how about this, I will call Val and make plans with her to get together with her sometime this week and you have to do the same with Adam?"
"Then what? We have absolutely nothing in common, Lee."
"And you believe that Val and I do? The wedding is around the corner, I think that it would be good for the two of you to find common ground and kill some of the tension between you two. You're about to be family."
Tighten his arms around her waist, he stared at her with such reverence that Leah breathing seem to stop briefly. "You could say the same thing about yourself in the future."
"Can you really see that in our future?" Leah asked her voice light from the sentiment.
"Definitely, you make me want things I didn't know that I wanted." Dropping her lips to his, she wanted nothing more than to absorb him. The words that came from him wrapped a blanket of need over her, a familiar moan came from Jack, his finger trailed down her hip to her thigh. Slowly it eased it was back up but taking a detour at the hem of her shirt. Then a realization hit her.
"Jack, sweetheart?" She sung playful against his lips.
"Mmhm." He answered creating path of kisses along her jawline.
