third pov

a knocking sound echoed trough out the ginormous cave located deep within the mountains. this awakened the deeply feared girl sleeping there.

'oh? people?', crossed her mind as she woke up.

the girl could sense there were people wandering around in her cave, rendering her not knowing how to react. only wearing a white cotton top and a pair of white cotton shorts, she ventured to this sound. her left eye, having a sheeplike symbol in it, curiously darting around.

"hello? is anyone there?", a soft yet slightly anxious female voice asked.

"what do you need from the cave of lies?", the girl responded with a question of her own, wiping the sleep out of her eyes with her left hand.

she was hidden by one of the many illusion she had set up all around the cave, her home for the past few millennia, to keep her safe and protected. in her right hand dangled her trusty companion, a (favorite animal, teddy.

"we'd like to see you", another voice groaned out, this one being from a male, sounding husky and low yet annoyed.

"what do you need of my presence?", she questioned, unnerved by the second, male voice.

scanning the two who spoke with echo location, she felt her confidence drop in protecting herself. the female seemed to have a weak build, but the male seemed quite strong. she caught three other silhouettes, three more males. all her options in means to fight and protect herself, fell down the drain.

"we just need to see you~!", a cheery voice spoke.

'wait... that's familiar, isn't it?', she thought to herself.

the voice seemed to belong to the smallest male, the one she had detected of being the strongest. his build seemed strangely familiar as well. she knew she wouldn't stand that much of a chance after just being awoken against them, so she had no choice but to reveal herself. besides, she was curious of his familiarity.

"very well than", she said as she opened the illusion she had set in front of her along time ago.

with a swipe of her hand the black shadow disappeared, leaving her and the not-so-unfamiliar strangers alone in the cave. she wipes her eyes once again as she took notice to the slight discomfort in the air.

"do my clothes make you uncomfortable? if so, i apologize. as you probably know, i've been resting here for a while and your sudden visit hasn't given me time to change", she told them in a sincere tone.

"sir meliodas? are you sure that's her?", that anxious female voice said after my greeting rather rudely," she doesn't appear to have any symbols."

"i am sure", the cheery voice chimed in to answer the female's question.

'huh... meliodas? where have i heard that before?', the thought passed trough her mind as the familiar name rung a bell.

"is your name (y/n)?", a childlike male floating on a pillow asked her.

so he was the one with the weird silhouette she scanned earlier. it was obvious he possessed magic if he could float around on a pillow.

'is that how he knew my name? did he use some sort of mind reading magic to figure out my name?', she pondered those questions in her mind, 'no, he couldn't have. i would've noticed him entering her mind.'

"i indeed am. now i will repeat, what do you need of my presence?", she asked, slowly getting mangled with the uprising panic in her heart.

"we need you back with the eight deadly sins", the husky and low voice said, not sounding so annoyed this time around.
