the fifth lie

"Yes we are, Meli!" (Y/n) said, " How about you join us?"

"Of course, so how has life been for you?", Meliodas asked her.

"Same old, scaring people with lies and hallucinations. How have you guys been?", asked (Y/n).

"Well we have been gathering all of the eight deadly sins (N/n)", said Elizabeth.

This made King snap out of his daze.

"Wait, how do you know that nickname Elizabeth?", asked King floating around her.

"Is there something wrong with it?", asked Elizabeth a bit terrified.

"There isn't anything wrong with it," laughed (Y/n)," it's just that no one has called me that in a long time"

"Oh! Well then I'm sorry to have caused confusion. I can still call you that, can't I?", questioned Elizabeth.

"I already told you I was fine with that! I could call you Lizzie in return, now you said you were gathering the eight deadly sins. Do you guys have any idea where my idiotic brother could possibly be at?", (Y/n) asked hopeful.

While Elizabeth sighed in relief, the others shook their head no.

"Oh... I see... well then! Was there anything fun that happened while I was away. You didn't have any party's without, did you?", (Y/n) sulked a bit.

"A party without you isn't a party, now we did have a big battle and stuff", Ban replied nonchalantly.

"Oh so nothing really exciting?", (Y/n) said bluntly.

Elizabeth looked at her kinda shocked.

"U-uh... (N/n) we kinda fought for our lives?", she mumbled.

"Oh, I know. It's just not exciting at all. I mean, I've been killing people like everyday in my cave. Well not actually, but they get so terrified they die kinda killing? I guess that's still killing huh?", (Y/n) said and began to ponder what she was actually doing.

Now everyone looked at (Y/n), some shocked while others just stare at her blankly.

"Have you learned anything from getting out of jail?", Meliodas asked.

"Uh... n-no?", (Y/n) replied sheepishly.

After Meliodas face palmed at that answer everyone continued chatting and catching up with each other.
When night time hit everyone was still having a good time talking to each other.

"Hey (Y/n)?", Diane motioned her to come over.

"What's up Dae?", (Y/n) questioned her.

"Was what you told us really all that happened when you were gone?", Diane suddenly asked seriously.

(Y/n) stayed silent, keeping herself together, trying not to break down.

"W-well... some other things did happen... I-I just don't want to remember them... so please don't talk about the past...", (Y/n) mumbled quietly.

"If there is anything bothering you, you can always tell me", Diane tried to comfort.

"There is always something bothering me, I can't always rely on you... I need to have the power to face my own problems Dae. I just need to stop being weak... my weakness has cost so many lives...", (Y/n) spoke bluntly.

"Then this moment now, rely on me. Don't bottle all your feelings up, talk to me", Diane tried to break trough.

"So many lives were taken when I was gone... just because I was weak! Because I couldn't react on time. I left to become stronger, right? I certainly became stronger, but also more messed up in my head!", (Y/n) replied agitated.

Diane silently listened to her, while she continued venting.

"While I may have killed things in my cave, those who I befriended , ended up being killed in front of me. And I couldn't even react! I was frozen, all I did was look at their bodies fall... I-I...", (Y/n) looked down at the ground trying to stop her tears from flowing.

"There, there", Diane patted her head.

Even though no one noticed, (Y/n)'s heart let one of the many walls it had down.

I'm soooooo sorry for updating so late!
I was planning to update way earlier but that goddamn writers block has to hit me in the face!
I'm not really satisfied with this chapter... I feel like it's too rushed and I hate it when chapters are really rushed.
