"The blow queen strikes again. Ivy Mitchell was seen at Nina's latest party sucking off P.J. Simmons." Ivy read from Noah's computer, half confused half amused at the work of Nina and her minions.
"Can't they find something a little more original?" Audrey laughed from the counter of the game store.
"Don't listen to them." Noah gave a reassuring smile exiting the website.
"I don't listen to them. I know I didn't do it, and I know I hate P.J." Ivy rolled her eyes. "My mom is another story. Last time Nina said something like this she threatened to move us to the west coast."
"You can't move. Where would we be without our Poison Ivy?" Noah grinned at the girl as he used the nickname he'd given her in the eighth grade.
"I'm sure you guys would get along just fine without me." Ivy rolled her eyes, grabbing her book bag.
"Where are you going?" Audrey complained, not taking her eyes off her phone.
"Home. See you guys tomorrow." Ivy gave a small wave and began making the dreaded walk home. Her house was only five blocks away from Noah's work but Ivy hated every second of it.
She knew her mom had already heard of what Nina had done. Her mom was the type to gossip with all the other moms who tried to live vicariously through their children. That included Monica Maddox. Brooke had been very successful at making her life a living hell by relaying everything Nina told her about Ivy to Monica.
Ivy had finally reached her front door. She hesitantly fished the key out of her pocket and unlocked the door.
"Ivy." She heard her mother's voice almost immediately.
"Mom." Ivy tried to smile to relieve the tension.
"I am so disappointed in you." Her mother said sadly, shaking her head before pursing her lips defiantly.
"We're getting you away from here. Ever since we've moved to Lakewood you've been acting out." Ivy's mom decided.
"Mom. You can't do that." Ivy rolled her eyes at her mom's brash actions.
"I can do whatever I want. I'm your mother." Delores Mitchell replied sternly.
"Where would we go anyway?" Ivy argued. "All my friends are here. And all of yours."
"Oh no, I'm not leaving Lakewood. You are. You're going to live with your Aunt Harriet until you change that attitude of yours." Her mom told her. Delores knew the right things to say to make her scared. Aunt Harriet was a crazy religious that lived in Washington. Needless to say, Ivy's already sucky life was going to get a lot more sucky.
"You can't be serious. I didn't do it." Ivy shook her head in disbelief. Her mom couldn't believe this.
"I wish I could say I believed you. This was the last straw Olivia." Her mom used her real name, which meant that she was being completely serious.
It wasn't long before Ivy was packing her things for Washington."I just can't believe you're moving..." Noah said into the video chat.
"It's only temporary. Three months max. But I'll still really miss you and Audrey." Ivy tried to cheer the boy up.
"I love my Poison Ivy." Noah said with a small smile.
"I love my Robin." Ivy let out a bittersweet chuckle.
"Does that make me batman?" Audrey popped into the frame of the camera.
"Obviously. I think you'd be a pretty badass batman." Ivy grinned.
"I'll call you everyday. You better answer me." Noah said pointing a finger at the screen.
"Will do. Tell Nina and all her followers to kiss my ass." Ivy smirked and gave a small wave, ending the call.
The room was filled with silence, making Ivy's heart drop. She knew it wasn't going to be that long, it might even be good for her. She had never been away from Noah or Audrey for more than a week and she was dreading this move.
Her eyes drifted down to her phone that had just signaled someone had texted her. Ivy's eyes widened when she saw it was her former best friend, Emma Duvall.sorry about nina
Ivy scoffed and rolled her eyes. Emma hadn't contacted her since freshman year.
i'm sorry about a lot of things.
Ivy texted back, turning her phone off.
