"but we're too damn sober, for mistakes like this."
mistakes like this | prelowIvy and Jake sat side by side listening to Noah talk about his serial killer theories.
"I'm getting something to drink, anyone want anything?" Riley asked.
"Me." Ivy popped up with a raised hand rushing over to follow the girl. As they approached the kitchen Riley fidgeted nervously.
"What's wrong with you? You look like Nina's little purse dog?" Ivy smirked over at the brunette.
"Noah." Riley half-yelled and then tilted her head a little as Ivy grabbed a water bottle, drinking it. "Well, you and Noah."
Ivy coughed as she choked on the water she had been drinking. "What about me and Noah?"
"You guys seem really involved, like romantically?" Riley picked at her nail. "And I think I may be starting to like him."
"Dude, no way." Ivy shook her head with a smile. "Noah's like my brother. We've been friends since grade school, and we know too much about each other to have and boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. You know, like, I love him. But only in the most platonic sense of the word." Ivy grinned before winking. "Go get him, tiger."
Riley rolled her eyes, grinning like a madman. "As long as you're sure."
"I'm like 99.9 percent positive we will never have feelings for each other." Ivy then shrugged her shoulders, smiling before walking back in the living room that was completely deserted.
"What the hell?" Ivy furrowed her eyebrows turning towards Riley who looked confused as well. Suddenly a look of realization covered her face.
"Wren Lake." Riley frowned walking over to the sliding glass door, grabbing Ivy's hand. When Riley and Ivy reached the Lake they saw Kieran dragging Noah out of it.
"What grabbed me?" He furrowed his eyebrows as the two girls ran down to meet him.
"Nothing grabbed you spaz. We just threw you in." Jake rolled his eyes.
"What did he do to you?" Ivy gritted her teeth.
Jake shrugged before speaking in a smaller voice. "It's a Wren Lake tradition."
"Yeah? Well, Wren Lake traditions suck ass." Ivy punched his arm before kneeling over Noah rubbing his arm.
"Kiss him Ivy, breath of life." Jake gave a bitter smile.
"Jackass." Ivy yelled towards Jake before grabbing Noah's freezing hand and helping him up. Emma came to wrap a blanket around him.
"Come on, Noah." Ivy whispered pulling Noah closer to her. "This party sucked anyway."
"Thanks for invite, Emma." Audrey said sarcastically as she joined them. "Your friends are great."—
Once the three got situated in the car, Ivy decided to break the silence.
"Very eventful." She started trying to slice through the tension.
"Oh yeah, the part where Jake tried to drown Noah was my favorite." Audrey rolled her eyes.
"Did he tell you why he did that?" Noah smirked at Ivy, turning to face her.
"No, did he tell you?" Ivy bopped Noah's nose.
"It might have to do with the fact that I told him you would never go for him." He smirked. "And then he got mad, and I got drunk and fell asleep."
"What are we going to do with you?" Ivy grinned as the car came to a stop. Hopping out, she ran over to the other side the give Noah a hug.
"Never scare me like that again." She spoke into his neck.
"I won't." He shook his head hugging her back hard.
"Always the third wheel." Audrey shook her head in disgust at the two.
"Get in here." Ivy motioned holding her arms out to her.
