This was originally a comment that I decided not to post, because it was more of a rant.
All the kids at my school started watching anime recently. They think that they're so much cooler than us, because they watch one anime. Sword Art Online. They ask me if/what I watch.
My answer: I watch Black Butler, Black Butler II, Black Butler: Book of Circus, Noragami, Your Lie in April, Fullmetal Alchemist, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Sword Art Online, SAO II, Soul Eater, Magi: Labyrinth of Magic, Magi: Kingdom of Magic, Fate/Stay Night, Kill la Kill, Fairy Tail, Morbito: Guardian of the Spirit, RWBY, Vampire Knight, Madoka Magica, Ouran High School Host Club, Pokémon (It counts all you Pokémon haters), Hetalia, And Uta no Prince-Sama. I can turn around then and say "You better step up your game. Can you catch up with me?"
And then they call me a weeaboo. PLEASE BITCH. YOU WATCH ONE ANIME. POSSIBLY ONE OF THE MOST STEREOTYPICAL ONES. Besides Hetalia, but that's the whole storyline of Hetalia. The girl has to get saved by the MALE PROTAGINIST. And then you hate on its second season. BECAUSE IT DOESN'T STAY TRUE TO THE ORIGINAL STORYLINE. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF A SECOND SEASON? TO CHANGE THE STORYLINE AND CONFLICT TO CONTINUE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. THEY DON'T EVEN CALL THE PROTAGINIST BY HIS NAME. Kazuto Kirigaya. They all call him Kirito because their mouths can't handle it. Then they further call Pikachoop and I weeaboos. Because we can pronounce their names and sings the openings. The reason we can pronounce the names is that we put in the effort to respect the work that the manga-ka or anime producer has provided us with. The reason we can sing the openings is that the opening has a special place in our hearts as otakus.
Weeaboos are people who throw away their culture to "become Japanese". To quote Noble, or Lost Pause, "I'm pretty fukin American.". So don't you dare say any of us are weeaboos. We simply respect the culture. You do not respect the culture by butchering names and words. You can be and most likely are, an embarrassment to all otakus. Learn to respect the culture and become an otaku. Throw away the dignity and respect of an otaku, feel the force of thousands of fandoms, our numbers are nothing compared to yours. We have the vastly spanning age group of the Pokemon famdom. We have the slightly diminished numbers of true otakuisim.
You're in for a full force attack of death gods, shinigami, demons, magical girls and boys, and mythical creatures that could wipe the whole population out in one. Hit.
