I want to thank @Supernatural_Things for helping me out with the battle scene in this chapter, as it was really holding me back. You can all probably tell which parts she wrote, considering that they're 10x better than the rest of the battle. She definitely deserves a dedication; if not for this then for just being an awesome friend. :)

“Magnemite, thunder!”
“Combusken, blaze kick!”
“Pyrois, flame charge!”
The battlefield was hectic and almost chaotic as not two, but four Pokémon fought it out. Fire and lightning flickered across the room, making the gym look like it was in the middle of Armageddon.
My Ponyta’s mane flared and flames engulfed her as she charged at one of the Magnemite. Kimi’s Combusken kicked the other with a flaming foot. Spinning backwards from the fire attacks, the two Magnemite shot out jolts of electricity at our Pokémon. Pyrois reared backwards in surprise, whereas Combusken seemed unfazed. Kimi’s Pokémon had clearly been training for longer than Pyrois. That was to be expected, though. This battle will be good practice for her, though, I thought. “Pyrois, use ember!”
Pyrois shook her head, recovering from the electric attack, and lashed her tail, sending an ember attack flying off the flame and hitting one of the Magnemite. The steel-and-electric type retaliated by using tackle with an order from Jasmine. Meanwhile, Kimi was focusing on the other Magnemite. “Combusken, use focus energy and then fire punch!”
I diverted my attention back to Pyrois. “Let your fire recharge and use stomp!” The Ponyta ran forward and basically punted the tiny magnet across the room. It looked so ridiculous, I couldn’t help but chuckle. Looking like it would burst with anger, the Magnemite zoomed back towards us.
“Magnemite, both of you use metal sound,” Jasmine said quietly. Oh Arceus, not this again! I plugged my ears and waited for the horrid noise to pass, feeling bad for the Pokémon. “Now thunder again.”
Both of the Magnemite hovered close to each other and sent out more bolts of electricity- except this time, the attacks combined, making them stronger. The lightning hit Pyrois dead on, making me flinch. “Pyrois! Get out of the way and try ember again!”
“Combusken, sky uppercut!” Kimi ordered. Her Combusken leaped into the air, jumping high enough to reach the Magnemite that had flown above him. He slammed his fist into the metal Pokémon from below and sent it flying upwards.
As this happened, Jasmine seemed deep in thought. Then she smiled. “Shock wave, paralyze the Ponyta.” Seconds after the ember attack hit the Magnemite, the little magnet Pokémon sent out another blast of lightning, hitting Pyrois. But instead of being hurt, she tensed up and fell over, unable to move.
"No, Pyrois! Get up!" I yell, as said Pokémon lies on the ground, paralyzed. Hoping that my Pokémon will recover from this little dilemma quickly, I look to see what's happening with Kimi and Jasmine. The two electric type Pokémon had just released a powerful thunderbolt upon Combusken, who had promptly flew back from shock, then rose to its feet, and looking angrier then ever.
"Use mirror move!" Kimi shouts. Combusken's ears twitch, before it looks like electricity is sparking from its fur. In a matter of seconds, the fire starter from Hoenn had landed an equally as powerful move upon the two Magnemite. Both recovered quickly, looking a little injured, but ready to fight.
