Hi! I'm Lauren and it makes me so happy you have decided to read my book! It's a work in progress, honestly. I really don't know where I'm going with the plot at the moment so I'm sorry if my writing isn't very good.
I am planning to go back and re-write/edit some of the chapters after I have written them, but for now, you'll have to put up with what I have. SORRY!
Yeah, I really have nothing so I'm just hoping for the best on how this turns out. And yes, this is probably going to be one of those 'an unpopular girl dates the most popular guy' cliché books, but I'm really not bothered. If I'm honest, I enjoy reading that kind of stuff so I hope you enjoy it too!
P.S. I'm working on the description, it doesn't do what I have in mind justice at the moment.
I'm stating in advance that I have accidentally changed the tenses throughout this chapter. I can't be bothered to fix it now, but I'll promise I'll do it later!

A FRESH NEW START
"C'mon Lils, stop being a baby and suck it up."
Ah, Lily's mothers kind words. Honestly, she's the nicest mum Lily could ever dream of, but you have to admit she gets straight to the point. Claire is beautiful. She has long, thick, black hair with loving green eyes, and a smile that could stop the earth from turning. But, the most important thing is that she's loving understands Lily from the perspective of being her best friend, and not just as being her mother. You see, Claire has always been there for Lily, through thick and thin. She's seen her at her best, and at her worst. But most importantly, she can tell if somethings' not right. Always. Unlike her father, John, Claire knows when her daughter is feeling miserable and distraught. John, you see, is away with work a lot. He loves his family so much, and works so hard to give them what they deserve. That's why they're moving, he was offered a promotion and he took it.
Lily sighed at her mother and looked grumpily out of the window, watching the trees and landscape race by as their car raced ahead to their new home.
"Yeah Lily, suck it up!" James stuck his tongue out at her, being the childish 7 year old he is.
"Shut up James!" Lily snapped back, giving her brother a sly wack on the shoulder. James was the most annoying little brother. He is constantly trying to wind Lily up - even though most of the time she doesn't even acknowledge him.
Lily's old school wasn't the best. She didn't have many friends and spent most of her time doing extra homework for more credit - or in the library, where her mind could be freed and lost within a breath-taking romance novel. But, she was happy. She was delighted with her two best friends, Charlotte and Kimberly, who always knew how to lighten her mood, but, she's finding it hard to deal and cope with the fact that she's moving half way across the country from them, and won't be able to see them everyday. She made them promise that they'd come to her new house for the weekend to catch up and see her again, and Lily knew they were going to keep their promise. From the whole 10 years they've been best friends, Lily isn't quite ready to let it go and move on. Sure, they'll keep in touch, but it isn't the same as seeing them in person everyday, debating on which boy is the fittest in their class.
After YEARS of traveling and sulking in the car (actually, it was only 5 hours), the family finally arrive at their new house. Even though Lily wasn't too pleased about moving, she couldn't deny that her new house looked stunning. It was the type of house that you'd never of thought you could afford - but here they are.
