Prologue
My eyes burned. I closed them tight hoping that when I open them, I won't be here. Sadly, thats not how life works.
"Now, finally, its time..." He laughed. He laughed at my failure. I wanted to kill this man, but I cant. I can't move, but I realized that long ago.
The smell of smoke was still filling my lungs. Fire surrounded me and him.
"Oh, dear my precious rose, now no one can have you!" The man swiftly pulled his sword out of the ground, it made a sharp sling sound.
Then, He did it. He actually did it. The man took his sword and went for the kill. Slow motion, is what it felt like. His face full of madness, eyes glowed with pain. I couldn't blame him. Then, it hit me. Right through the chest. Blackness is all I saw, Nothing is all I heard, and Pain was all I felt.
I was gone.
Chapter 1
"Hey, Yuki! Are you excited for summer?" My best friend, Kyo Saki, asked me.
"Yeah, I'm really looking forward to going somewhere! I wonder where my family is going to go this year..." My family, well, me, my mom, and my brother, always go somewhere new every year. A few years ago, me and my best friends parents moved to America for our summer trip. We were born and raised in Japan, but our parents wanted to go to America so we would have a better chance at life... whatever that meant.
"I bet we're going to Arizona, I really want to see the grand canyon!" Kyo really loved adventuring. He was really nice and kind- but if you got on his bad side, he can explode.
