She's just his Friend

She was just a friend of my man,
Whom he used to talk all the time about his plans.
He told me she was an innocent girl like me,
All that sweet she was as a kid, as one could ever be.
He told me how he talked to her all day and night,
Of how he shared his feelings, his thoughts and had her by his side.
But I am fine with this because she is just a friend,
A friend whom he’s taking out this weekend.
Oh well, I hear she too got a man,
Sure, she would want to stick around, that’ll be her plan
No I am not insecure for she is just a friend,
Whom he kissed that night, like he used to kiss me on the head.
She comes by to his place, when I am gone,
She shares her nasty secrets with him when they are alone.
But no, I don’t mind because she’s just a friend,
And I promised him I’d be as understanding as I can.
He doesn’t text me much these days,
Says he hasn’t got anything to say,
But I see him texting her all day,
I wonder why am I the one left this way,
To me, why doesn’t he have anything to say?
Well I guess I just need to keep my calm and try not to lose my mind
Because she’s just a friend and nothing more he says.
