The stench of lemon disinfectant hit Imogen before she opened her eyes, it was a smell she knew all too well; the infirmary. She could hear the quiet bustle of the medics on shift as she opened her eyes only for them to be assaulted by the bright lights above her cot.

"Why do they make the lights in here so damn bright?" Imogen groaned and rolled onto her side.

Immediately, the daughter of Cupid was met with a tight embrace.

"Gen thank the gods you're okay." The visitor whispered.

"Okay love you too Mara, now, could you please get off me? I'm being crushed."

"Oh right sorry" Mara giggled as she sat back down in the chair beside Imogen's cot. The blonde girl looked at her sister, her cheeks were red and her eyes were puffy like she had been crying, she was also still in her war games attire; her purple cloak still draped across her torso and her gold breast plate lay abandoned beside her chair.

Imogen sat up and swung her legs off the small cot and turned to look at the mirror that was propped up in the corner of the room.

"I look like the night of the living dead!" She groaned.

"Considering what you went through, I'd say you look pretty good" Mara laughed at her sister's disgusted face.

"Are you kidding me? My eye bags are the size of shopping bags, and I mean 'there's a sale at Aritzia and dad is trying to buy away our worries' big," Imogen rolled her eyes. "When I get my hands on that stupid daughter of Trivia..."

"Speaking of Kaya, you and Alex need to be at The Principa at four for a meeting with myself, Tiberius, and Kaya."

This news made Imogen roll her eyes even harder, the last person she wanted to see right now was the girl who had knocked her out because she was losing to Alex.

"Hey where is Alex?" Imogen furrowed her brow scanning the other cots for her brooding co-centurion.

"He woke up about an hour ago," Mara said checking her watch. "You on the other hand were out for abut seven hours."

The blonde girl groaned, sat down, slipped on her pink converse, and snatched her golden bow; by the name of Romeo, off the bedside table.

"He is never going to let me live that down" Imogen grumbled, she reached for the door handle but before she could dash out she was met by another hug from her older half-sister.

"I'm just really glad you're okay Gen" Mara whispered.

The blonde girl wrapped her arms around her sister and smiled.

"Okay, Okay." Imogen laughed. "I'll see you at four." Imogen broke the embrace and rushed off down the halls of the infirmary.

"Could you just take a large cup and fill it with espresso please?" Imogen adjusted her sunglasses and handed the barista a couple of denarii and stepped to the side to wait for her ridiculously caffeinated drink.

"Rough night Cadwell?" A masculine voice drawled.

The daughter of cupid whipped her head around to see Charlie bowman placing a rather large cup of coffee with Imogen's named scrawled onto it.

"More like rough morning and a bad encounter; Kaya Blackwood." Imogen made a 'gag me' motion with Kaya's name "Hey I didn't know you worked here."

Charlie flashed a huge smile and dusted off his apron.
