All eyes were on Mirajane, "Please stay quiet throughout all of this and go find your mother. Stand next to her and weight for me to give you more instructions." Mirajane let out a sigh as the children sorted and squeezed around In the little guild hall. Once the movement had stopped she note that only one still stood in the same spot looking a tad confused. Other than that everyone was standing with a woman claiming her as the mother. "Ok, now boys if you have the same last name as any of the children go stand next to them. Everyone else needs to go home."
One by one people filed out, leaving the confused mages and children behind.
"What now oh wise one" an annoyed Evergreen asked looking to Mirajane.
"Well we are going to need to find places for all of them to stay." Realizing how awful this could get Mira decided to pull the children out of what could be potentially harmful situations. "How about the children accompany me and gramps to an ice cream shop in town while the......couples......decide how to handle the.......children's sleeping and company arrangements."
"Come one you brats let's go," gramps grumbled, leading the group out the front door with Mira heading the rear. "This building better be still standing in one piece when I get back or so help me....." The door closed cutting off the guild masters threat but the message was clear.
"Well there's no point in putting this off," Evergreen huffed sitting down at the nearest table. "I say we women let the kids sleep with us and the men take care of them during the day."
"No way will I be in charge of four strange pipsqueaks for a week!"
"Gajeel, I wouldn't make you be in charge of them all by yourself." Levy sighed "but my house is no place for kids. My room at Fairy Hills is just to full, so they would have to stay at your house."
"No!"
"Well I think us Dragneel's can stay at Lucy's house" Nastu said cheerily.
"What?!" Lucy shouted. "I'm fine with housing two kids but you will eat me out of all my money!"
"Please Lucy, me and Happy will be on our best behavior. We promise, right happy?"
"Aye sir!" The little cat exclaimed the blue cat. "Wait. What am I promising?"
"Uhhhhh, your impossible"
Lucy sat down and watched the other mages around her. How is this possible? She wondered, how could this group become parents? She watched Juvia and Grey struggling to hold a conversation and eye contact for that matter. Elfmen and Evergreen were having a problem of the opposite variety, both of them yelling about who would be a better caretaker for the kid.
"I'm a real man, I can do anything this kid needs."
"No you can't you bimbo."
And that's when she noticed Ezra. She sat there staring at the floor. But she didn't look worried or annoyed, just thinking. And that scared Lucy more. Like lightning flashing through the sky, Erza stood and began to head out the door.
"Wait Erza," Lucy called, causing the guild to grow a tad quieter as to listen in, "where are you going?"
"Well if Navy is going to be staying with me I better go make a place for him to sleep." Erza smiled. Then she turned to address the group. "These may or may not be our kids from the future, but if they are need I remind you it takes two to make a family, so it takes two to care for one" and with that the Queen of the fairies left to make a place for the new prince.
~~~~~meanwhile~~~~~
"So kids, what do you guys want? It's aunt Mirajane's treat." Mira smiled and opened the door to the little ice cream shop. The kids wandered in placing their orders, as strange as some were, and sat down at the biggest table they could find. Dragging over chairs for those who needed it. After everyone got there chilly treat the true fun began.
"So since I don't know whether or not to believe this strange story I'm going to ask you some questions.....I would very much appreciate if you answer truthfully" gramps said from his spot at the head of the table.
"So what do you want to know gramps?" Ul asked as she dug her spoon into chocolate ice cream.
"Well, um what's your name again, sweet child?"
"Ul Fulbuster, and this is my brother shard" she pointed to her brother shoveling his cookies'n cream into his face.
"Tell me Shard, Ul, how did your parents meet?" Gramps questioned.
"The battle against Phantom Lord."
"What about your parents," and one by one each group yelled out how their parents met.
"My mom and dad meet in something called the tower of heaven"
"Momma and daddy grew up together in the same guild"
"Daddy saved mommy from a bad man on a boat"
But when it got to the Redfoxes', gramps knew something was up. There was a long silence. But finally Aluminum spoke "we have been told that mom and dad meet in magnolia park, that's what mom says. But silver is the only one who knows the true story. But dad made her promise not to tell us. And if it makes Dad scared, I don't want to know" gramps sat there and thought about it. Yep that sounds like the truth. They all know truths. And if they know that they might know some truths of the future.
"Mira, can you take down some notes for me?"
"Sure master, about what?" Master Makarov leaned over the table a gleam in his eye that told the children that he meant business, but that something fun would come out of it.
"Kids can you do you gramps and aunt Mira a favor?" The kids silently nodded. "Tell us the stories of how your parents fell in love."
