How it crumbles

A New Friend

We walk to the door of the Teddy's.  Our hometown pizza shop. I put her down and we walk in. Mike is in a booth texting on his phone. I sit next to him and Bailey across from us.
  "Cayden here today?" Mike looked up from his phone and looked at us.
  "Yeah he took our order. He's back there. Go say hi." I stood up and walked to the back of the ship saying patting the cook on the back. As I passed him.
   "Hey Vinnie." I said as he looked over his shoulder to greet me.
   "Hello my friend. How are you my brother." He said in an Italian accent. He was the son of Teddy. And a great cook.
  "Where's Cayden?' I asked him. He pointed to the back freezer.
  "Thanks man. Hey. Extra cheese on that pizza. Please!" He put a thumbs up as I walked into the freezer.
  "Yo Cayden." I walk around the corner to see a tall, fit, and tan boy with black shaggy hair. He was putting a box on the top shelf which  was an easy task with him being tall.
  "Hey Jon." He turned to face me and gave me a quick handshake we came up with.
  "Whose here with you?" He asked as we headed out the freezer.
  "Mike.. and Bailey.." I looked at his as we headed back out to where Mike and Bailey were sitting. We got to the front counter and he looked at me confused.
  "I'll explain later." I started over towards the table. Cayden followed sitting next to Mike. And I next to Bailey. He looked at her surprised as she scooted a bit closer to me. He smiled at me and then at her.
