The truth

7:30 was the time on my clock when I woke up I had to be at school around nine.

So I'm rushing a little so I could get ready in time. Quickly taking my shower, putting my clothes on and brushing my teeth I was ready to go.

Walking out my bathroom I noticed kairus wasn't sleeping on the floor no more he wasn't even in my room.

Picking up my bookbag I left to go downstairs.

Zena was actually up probably cause kairus was here now.

"Nyla come sit there's a lot I need to tell you both" doing as she said I sat next to kairus on the couch.

"Where do I start" she let out a nervous laugh.

"How you guys know each other" helping her to start off she nodded her head.

"I summoned Kairus uncle along time ago before either one of you were born, he was my protecter then." She kept going but taking pauses to let us process what was going on.

"Yes, we are witches nyla and you wasn't suppose to know this, when you were born witches from all over had plans for you some were good others were bad. Later on when you were about 5 you started learning magic"

"But then for some reason you at the age of 5 could do spells that 4 witches have to do together because they didn't have enough power, because of that your white magic attracted more evil than good."

"So Kairus, your uncle offered nyla a protector someone who would be by her side forever and that's you"

"You Nyla and Kairus first met when Nyla was 7 and you were 10, you swore to protect her at all cause for her own good. You guys always played together you helped Nyla with her magic. Basically you two were inseparable"

"But then because Nyla magic was so strong and powerful dark magic came her way and killed whoever was in their way. That included your parents Nyla. They died protecting you and when I found that out Kairus uncle and I decided that it was best for the both of you to get your memories locked away and for Kairus to go back with his uncle. I didn't want you to do magic anymore to keep you safe I needed you to live a normal life"

Everything connected so smoothly I couldn't help but believe her. I thought I'd be in denial but I knew what she was saying was true.

"When you guys were separated both of you changed Nyla stopped talking for a month, she barely came out of her room and ate, and Kairus learn to fight and did nothing else but war, you two grew up and changed and its my fault you two had to live without each other. But I always knew you two had a bond that no one could break"

"So it did surprise me that Nyla summoned you but that also mean she has awakened and her powers are coming back so she could be in danger we don't know yet that's why its good that she summond you so you can be by her side"

"I understand" I couldn't help but stare at him something about him drawn me in. I know now that we were close but it wasn't that.

Pushing my thought aside I got ready to leave for school.

"Come on its 8:00 we need to get to school" Kairus looked at me and did as I did I grabbed my book bag and walked out the door.

The clothes he wore now looked just as good as the traditional looking clothes he had before.

He wore a grey hoodie with light washed jeans. It looked good on him.

"What's your school like" he broke the silence. I wasn't going to talk but I guess he didn't like the no talking game I was playing.

"Um well you go to 7 classes and learn different things"

"What do you learn"

"Math, science, history, English, might do art or band, all types of things"

"Do you like school" I looked at him and I think he already knew the answer to his question but proceeded on.

"No"

We got to the school and students were still outside, people were talking, playing music, and just doing what they do everyday.

What I hated the most about having Kairus with me was that everyone stared.

I always try not to be noticed and with him it was impossible. Yea he was attractive and nice looking but people didn't need to eye rape him.

I saw him smirk but I don't know at what.

We had to go to the office to get his schedule so he'd know what classes he had to go to.

"Excuse me he needs a schedule he just enrolled here" the lady at the desk looked up at me like I was bothering her but then she looked at Kairus and her whole attitude changed.

"You need a schedule honey? I'll go get you one" and she was up in a flash.

I could feel kairus hovering over me and me being 5'2 I wasn't very tall. He had to be 6'0 cause he was tall compared to me.

"Here you go baby" she handed him his schedule.

"Well he needs someone to show him his classes" she looked at me again and picked up the phone.

"The person will be here shortly" she rolled her eyes and continued to do her work.

"Hi I'm Brooke" Kairus turned around but I didn't.

"Kairus"

I know they shook hands I knew they did.

"Nyla, is that you" I heard her laugh a little but I ignored it and turned around.

I was heated now and was so close to loosing it. My hand was shaking now.

"What is it Brooke"

"We missed you since you didn't come to school yesterday"

Before I could get a word out Kairus grabbed my hand and I instantly calmed down. My hand stopped shaking and I forgot about Brooke.

The feeling I had when he touched me was something I never felt.

"Nyla go to class" Kairus looked down at me and let go of my hand. Getting myself together I headed on to my first period class.

"That butt embarrassing me in front of Kairus" what was I thinking I didn't care what he thought about me or did I?

Not wanting to think about it anymore I headed to my seat when I got to class like I always do.

Hours went by and I haven't seen Kairus once since this morning. It was only 10 minutes away from school being over.

But what was weird I over heard these girls talking about him.

"The new boy is so hot some girls think he's hotter than Dylan" they were whispering to each other so no one could hear them.

But of course I over heard.

The bell rang and I hurried out my seat and out my class.

Like always the hallways was crowded so trying my best and pushing past people I got to the front doors and waited for Kairus.

A couple of minutes went by and almost everyone left the school.

I wondered where he was.

Still looking I saw him walking towards me.

"What took you so long"

"The girl from earlier wanted to speak with me"

"What did she say"

"Nothing" getting unpatient with him I asked him again.

"Don't lie to me tell me what she said" while he was walking I stopped in front of him. He was taller than me so I had to look up at him.

My eyes found his and he just looked at me. No emotions was being shown. But I got a feeling that challenging him wasn't the best idea. So I moved out his way.

"FINE"

Stomping my way to the house angrily opening the door and letting it slam to the wall. I left him walking on his own.
