Chapter 2 - A New Beginning?

Reaper's P.O.V

I can't believe this! Someone's actually talking to me? "Who... Who are you?" I was just at a loss for words at this point. He looked directly at me and said "Oh! I'm Geno." I've never heard of him before, so i asked why he was called that. Geno said it had something to do with not being able to save his friends from the kid, and he said their name was Chara. He saw Chara stand up and I hit them with my scythe on accident. "Oops, didn't see you there!" Chara died in an instant, which Geno was shocked at. Geno was still stood there, so I asked "Shouldn't you be getting back to where you were?"

Geno's P.O.V

As soon as I heard him say that, I was surprised. He was either worried about me, or he hated me. I had the courage to tell him "Well, I don't want to go back to the save screen. I feel really isolated there..." He just looked at me and then said "I feel that way too." I was shocked, i thought i was the only one who felt like that, but apparently not. All I could get out was a questioning 'really?' He just nodded. I asked for a hug, but he just declined it. I wonder why...

Reaper's P.O.V

Why would anyone want to... what was the word? Hug? I think that's it.... me? I moved away from him a small bit, while asking "Why are you even out here?" It was a dumb question when I say it out loud, to be completely honest, it sounded way better in my head. He answered the question with a smile "I just want to have social interaction with someone. If you need anything, you can tell me." I just responded with a simple 'ok' and 'I will' somehow. I felt so awkward at this moment.

Geno's P.O.V

"All I can do is watch my friends die over and over again, but you get used to it." I heard him sigh and say "I have to see people die in front of my face." From his expression, I can tell he doesn't know how to feel about any of this. We just met, and he's already telling me this? I know I haven't spoken to anyone in a very long time, but seriously? Wow... he must be REALLY lonely wherever he is. I decided I should go back, so I told him and he looked at me and asked if we'd see each other again, not that he wouldn't mind that. I just smiled and responded with 'sure we will' and he walked off. As soon as he was gone, I teleported away, returning in the save screen.
