1. What does your username mean to you and how did you think of it?
My username is very personal to me. It reflects how I feel on the inside, Rofuso meaning Rufus (my first name) and Raberasu is how the Japanese would say "loveless" therefore my username means, Loveless Rufus. The idea of the username came to me after multiple experiences in my life.
2. When did you decide to become a writer?
I decided to become a writer at the age of 15-16, something like that, however I have written simple short stories and childish comic books since I was 5.
3. What made you decide to sit down and actually start writing?
I have trouble expressing my emotions physically, so I use my stories and poetry to express it for me. Get my emotions off my chest, making me feel better.
4. So what have you written so far?
I've written 2 game reviews on a gamer's blog, I've written many stories, the ones I've posted on Wattpad are "Love breeds even in the thunderstorm", "Blood nine Rise of the Asura", "Poems by Raberasu", and a short Story titled "My Roommate". I'm also working on other stories that I've not posted on Wattpad yet, they are called "Badasses of War" and "I want to be your friend". I'm also working on another short story which is a sequel to "My roommate" and rewriting "Blood Nine Rise of The Asura" with my new and improved writing style.
5.Which Writers inspire you?
Writers that Inspire me are Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe, Emily Bronte, Bram Stoker, J.R.R Tolkien, John Steinbeck, George Orwell, Shungiku Nakamura, Masashi Kishimoto and Chuck Palahniuk.
6. Can you give us an insight In to your main character? What does he/she do that is so special?
The main character in my short story "My Roommate" is a character who is bored with his average life, he longs for his dream life to be a reality but he is not brave enough to go for it. Alot of people can relate to this character.
7. What genre are your books/poems? What draws you to this genre?
I write a variety of genres but recently I've been writing psychological stories which bare a real world message. What draws me to writing this kind of genre is that I could write about topics that deserve more attention by the public and the reader can relate to the story.
8. Which actor/actress would you live to see playing the lead character from your most recent book?
I can see James Franco or Robert Pattinson playing Roy from "My Roommate" because they both can pull the James Dean look and persona and James Dean inspired me to write this character.
9. Do you work to an outline or plot, or do you just prefer to see where your first idea takes you?
This is an interesting Idea. When I write I work with a summary of the plot which I came up with but when I begin to write I see where the idea takes me.
10. What is the hardest thing about writing?
The hardest thing I find about writing is making the words flow sometimes.
11. What is the easiest thing about writing?
The easiest thing about writing for me is describing actions and creating an atmosphere for the reader.
12. How long on average does it take you to complete a chapter/your work?
It takes me about 1 week usually to write a chapter depending if I have college work or not.
13. Do you ever get writer's block? Any tips on how to get through the dreaded writers block?
I do indeed get writers block and to overcome it I just walk around the room and put myself in the characters shoes, become the character in a sense and act out how he or she would behave then the ideas would come to me.
14. What do you think of trailers for books?
I don't dislike or like trailers for books but I think it's a good way to promote books since we live in an image based era, watching Television etc
15. What is your favourite motivational phrase?
My favourite motivational phrase is "Shigoto, Shigoto." which is a phrase meaning "Work, Work." said by a fictional author named Usami Akihiko (I use him as my profile picture as we bare similarities in our personalities)
16. What is your favourite positive saying?
"Hang in there, you'll be a somebody someday, you'll be real."
17. What advice would you give to aspiring writers?
Advice I would give to aspiring writers is if you are having writers block, imagine yourself as the character, immerse yourself in the world you have created, act your character out, act your chapters out and an idea of what's to come will come to you.
18. What would you like to say to your readers?
To my readers, I would like to say thank you for reading my work, besides writing being my hobby and passion, seeing someone reading and enjoying my stories is the drive for me to write more
