Scarlett's POV

Never in my entire life I felt like this. Never felt excited before just by entering school. Maybe I'm just excited cause I know it not gonna be the same like before. Cause I have someone whom I can waste my time with. Someone who's just like me.

"Hey" He greeted.

I just nod back in return.

"You ready for our game?" He asked

"I'm always ready" I answered back arrogantly

That was the end of our conversation. No matter how excited I am to be in his company, I just couldn't stop being cold towards him. He is too, with me. Feels like there's an imaginary line between us that we can't cross. I just couldn't risk crossing the line, and I know that he feels it too.

"Let's go." He said

"Where?" I asked

"Lunch. My treat." He said while smiling timidly. Oh hell yes, he smiled. Even just for a split second. That stony face of him smiled. Wow.

We had a lil chit chat while eating. I got to know him more. He wasn't that vocal about his life, but I know how to read between the line. Just like I said before, he's so like me. So I understand him that much. It may appear that we don't talk much and too cold with each other. But both of us know what we want to say to each other.

The day went by fast. I won our game. Ofcourse, no doubt about that. Little by little, our imaginary line is getting closer at sight. And he knows that too.

Days, weeks, months passed. Just one step, and I'll be able to cross the line. I want to, but I can't. And he knows that too. I'm scared. He's scared. We're both scared. I don't why we won't take the risk. Maybe because there's no any assurance after the line. We're too damn scared to face reality. We both just want to enjoy this ride. But I know, if no one will take the risk. This will gonna be a never ending ride. And I don't have time for that.
