Nightmares and Shopping

SHAI POV

It must be like 3 in the morning when I heard terrible screaming! I realize that it's coming from Quinn! "Quinn. Wake up sweetie!"
Quinn slowly starts to wake up, but once she does, she starts to bawl!
"It's okay sweetie. It was just a dream! Nothing is going to hurt you now. I promise." I tell her, meaning every word. "Quinn honey, do you want to tell me what happened in your dream? Usually that helps."
"Yeah Shai. I will tell you. So I was here, alone, and I didn't know where you or Theo was. While I was going around, looking for one of you, someone barged through the door and took me. It was my old foster father Frank. He brought me back to his house and he beat me like he never did before. He punched my arms, legs, head, stomach. He knocked me to the ground, kicked me all over, and then raped me! After he raped me, he pulled out a gun and told me that it was for my own good. Right before he killed me, you woke me up. It's not the first time that I've gotten these nightmares, they have been going on ever since he started to beat me and assault me." Quinn tells me trembling in fear and sadness. I hold her tight to me and realize that it's like 4 in the morning.
"Oh sweetie! Nothing like that would ever happen! We care about you too much to let that happen to you! I'm so glad that we are adopting such an amazing and beautiful girl like you Quinn! Now, let's get to sleep, it's late and you and I and my friend Zoë are going shopping later for clothes for you!" I tell her as I tuck her in, peck her forehead and roll over to go back to sleep.

I woke up again at around 9 and I saw that Quinn was still sleeping. To make sure that she didn't wake up, I carefully got out of bed to get dressed. I put on a blue tank top, white leggings, a black and white striped cardigan, and red and white checkered fuzzy socks. Over the fuzzy socks, I put on my black UGGS. I just left my hair down and natural. For my makeup, I do a neutral smokey eye, winged out eyeliner, mascara, and red lipstick. I quickly spray on some body splash and head back into my bedroom where Quinn is dressed and brushing her hair. She is wearing a navy blue oversized hoodie, black leggings, and gray UGGS. I come up behind her and pull her hair up into a messy bun. She turns around to give me a hug and thanks me.
We head downstairs and I smell French toast, sausage, and potatoes. Quinn sits at the dining table and I go in kitchen and bring out two glasses of orange juice. I sit next to Quinn and when Theo comes out of the kitchen, he sits on the other side of Quinn.
"So Theo. Quinn, Zoë, and I are going shopping for new clothes for her later. Are you okay with that? Will you not be bored out of your mind?" I ask him as I pull my phone out to text Zo.

Me🙃- Do you want to go shopping with Quinn and I later?
Zoë😊- Of course! I would love to! You also need to tell me about Miss Quinn.
Me🙃- No problem! See you later!

"Of course I'll be fine Shai! I'll ask Miles and Ansel to come over and I promise that we will be here when you guys get back." Theo tells me pecking my lips.

About 2 hours later, Zoë pulls up in her car and we leave for the mall. I'm so excited to buy my soon to be daughter some clothes!

THEO POV

After breakfast, I told Shai that Miles and Ansel are coming over today to start working on Quinn's room. She promised that she would keep Quinn shopping for about 4 hours. They need to shop until they drop!
Right after the girls leave, Miles and Ansel pull up with cans of paint and other supplies. When they get inside, we immediately head up to the one bedroom up in the fully renovated attic. I'm so excited to work on Quinn's room!

About 3 hours later, the entire attic is painted like the sky. The walls and ceiling are sky blue and we painted white clouds all over. Quinn did mention to us last night that she loves looking at the sky. It makes her feel happy and calm.
Shai and I are going to order Quinn's bedroom furniture when we order the baby's furniture so that they all come at the same time.

SHAI POV

We are almost done shopping so I text Theo really quick before we head to lunch.

Me🙃- The girls and I are going to eat at TGIFRIDAYS and then we are going to be on our way back to the house.
Theo😍😘❤️💍- Alrightly babe! We finished about a half hour ago so we ordered pizza about 5 minutes ago and we are waiting for it.
Me🙃- Have fun babe! Love you❤️
Theo😍😘❤️💍- Love you too sweetie💕

When we walk into TGIFRIDAYS, a waitress notices Zoë and I and let's us to a really nice booth in the back of the restaurant.
I end up getting a grilled chicken sandwich, mashed potatoes, and a glass of water. Zoë gets an All American burger, fries, and a soda. Quinn gets chicken fingers, fries, and a water.
About a half hour later, we are done eating, we pay the bill, and we are on our way back home.
Before we head home, without Quinn noticing, I tell Zoë to head to a Verizon store.
When we get to the store, Quinn looks shocked! "Shai, why are we here?"
"I'm getting you an IPhone! You need it to get in touch with Theo and I. I will also allow you to get Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, FaceBook, YouTube, Wattpad, and SnapChat." I tell her as we walk inside.
She picks up the IPhone 6S+ and a mint green phone case and I pay for it. She must have thanked me a billion times on the way to the car and on the way home. She is such a sweet and humble girl!

When we get home, Zoë left and Quinn and I walked inside to see Theo watching reruns of Family Guy. As soon as he sees us, he turns it off to help us with our many bags. I got Quinn a ton of clothes from Forever 21, Aeropostale, American Eagle, Hot Topic, Rue 21, and even some sweat outfits from PINK by Victoria Secret. We walk upstairs and put the bags in my room before heading downstairs for a movie night. Theo makes pop corn while Quinn picks a movie and I make sure everyone has a comfortable space on the couch. Quinn ends up picking Remember The Titans with Denzel Washington and Ryan Gosling. By the time the movie is starting, Theo is in the living room with popcorn and pretzels.

After the movie was over, it was around 9:30 so Quinn and I went upstairs to head to bed.

Today was amazing and I can't wait to spend more days with my soon to be daughter!
