1 - Home Away From Home

My plane lands at 5pm in heathrow, London. Zoe told me to meet her at the car park at quarter past. I've just flown back from America where I've been staying the last wee while with my auntie and cousins. It was so sunny and warm that I forgot how cold England was in the summer. Surprising everything was quick after the plane and before I knew it was the maze which they called a car park. Just when I reached the lift ready to choose a floor I realised Zoe hadn't told me where to meet her exactly and my phone died while waiting in passport control. Slowly I tried every floor and at about 5:45pm I found her on the 7th floor. 

"Hey," I said as I walked up to her. I knew who she was from magazines but she had never met me before I hoped she didn't think I was some crazy fan. 

"Hi, Alison right?" she replied. She had the nicest most genuine smile on her face. 

"Yeah." 

" Oh great I realised how silly I was to not tell you the floor. I tried to call but you most not have signal." 

"Oh sorry, my phone died," I replied embarrassed.

 " Oh that explains it and don't apologize it's perfectly fine." 

" Thank you so much." 

"Anytime, shall we get going? You must be hungry we'll stop for pizza on the way it's quite a drive." 

" Yes please!" I say almost too enthusiastically. Zoe just laughs.

On the drive we play 20 questions and get to know each other better. We ask average one's like favourite food, favourite animal etc and silly ones like would you fight 10 dinosaur sized chickens or 100 chicken sized dinosaurs. We laughed a lot. We got pizza and dough balls of course as we drove through Brighton instead of half way through the journey so we could sit down and enjoy it warm in Zoe's house and well mine for the next wee while. 

The minute we got in the house I turned ask Zoe a question when all of a sudden I felt something bash straight into my legs. 

"Oh Nala," Zoe laughed. 

" Well Alison this is Nala, Nala this is Alison." 

"Pleasure to meet you Nala," I laughed while shaking her paw. "Although I would quite like to keep my legs thank you.

" Me and Zoe both giggled. Suddenly a tall man appeared at the doorway.

 "Hi, I'm Alfie you must be Alison." 

"Oh hi, nice to meet you." I said unsure. 

"Oh Alison sorry I forgot to warn you, this is my boyfriend Alfie, we live together." Zoe clears up. 

"Oh." 

"We brought pizza!" Zoe shouts and Alfie's face lights up. I can't help but giggle. 

" Did someone say pizza?" I head pops around the corner. 

In the moment that he pops round the corner I don't know what happens something instead me just clicks and my heart starts trying to pound out of my chest. A swarm of butterflies gathers in my tummy and I can't help but stare. I must seem like such a freak. The boy has brown hair, blue eyes and has a few shared things with Zoe. He's not small but I wouldn't say tall. No more than 5 foot 9 and oh my god is he attractive. 

"Hi, you must be Alison." I could have died right there and then due to how perfect he was.
