It's been quite a while guys and I owe you a really good chapter.

As you've all probably noticed; this is not my main story. Mixtape is like a fun experiment that I do on the side. Currently I'm trying to devote all of my attention to #3 Show Me Love, but don't worry: I do have the main story line of this book thought out, so there's that.

Antonia

As Friday rolled around I lost most of my nerve and started to think that this entire plan was stupid. Why was I even doing this in the first place? This guy made me feel butterflies in my stomach, so what? It's not like I haven't had a crush before. Though if I didn't do this, Sloane would kill me. Then again, she was in America and wouldn't technically be able to.

My mind kept debating whether or not I should go through with Sloane's plan until Mr Dawson drew my attention back to what he was talking about, "Miss Lambert? Antonia Lambert? Would you care to tell me what you would do if you were presented with problem C?" I had absolutely no idea what problem C was, so I answered: "I would try to find the value of X first sir."

"I would advise you pay attention in the future as I highly doubt would you have any use for the value of X when someone asked you to go along with murder in cold blood."

Why was Mr Dawson talking about murder? Wasn't this supposed to be a maths class?

I heard snickers all around me and rolled my eyes; once again the snobs were happy that the outcast had screwed up.

Suddenly I had a flashback of what Nathan had told me the last time we had gone to the cinema; he had told me to try and make some friends. Now, I knew that wasn't possible with these idiots, but that Michael guy from HMV could be an option if Sloane's plan worked.

I could have an actual friend that I could see when I wanted to. My internet friends lived too far away from me to count and Nathan was my brother, so he didn't count either. I couldn't even remember how long it had been since I had had a "proper" friend let's say; one that actually counted.

The bell went and relieved me of my pain. I practically ran out of the classroom, desperate for fresh air and there was no way I wanted to risk Mr Dawson asking me to stay after class so he could lecture me on paying attention in his lesson.

After I had emptied my locker of its contents, which quite frankly was only a science book, I rushed towards the school gates. As I walked down the street I went over the steps of Sloane's plan, making sure that if I did fail I wouldn't make a fool out of myself.

HMV hit me with a gust of cool air when I entered and I headed straight towards the Pop/Rock shelf, knowing I would most definitely find the All Time Low CDs there. Luckily for me there were only a few left which made what I had to do a lot easier and a lot less obvious.

With the stack of CDs in my hands I walked around the shop, ducking away behind shelves when I caught glimpses of Michael. I evenly distributed the CDs over the Jazz and Soul shelves, hiding them behind others, knowing that it would be one of the last places anyone would look for them.

Then I walked back to the Pop/Rock shelf, positioning myself in front of where the All Time Low CDs should be. After about a minute of pretending to look through the shelf the Michael guy walked past, "Um hey." I said, turning round to face him, "I can't seem to find All Time Low."

He studied my face as he looked at me, "Ah, you again. See you've followed my recommendation." I nodded. "Okay, let's have a look." he said, leaning over the shelf, looking for something I knew wasn't there.

"Well that's weird. I swear we had a whole stack of these, I saw them not even half an hour ago. They can't all have been bought in that short time." Michael ran his hand through his hair as he knelt down and pulled open the storage boxes underneath the shelf.

"Looks like we don't have any extras either." he muttered and I let out a breath I didn't know I had been holding. I had been very lucky there; he could have found a whole new batch under there. Okay, let me check the Metal shelf. Sometimes they can be misplaced." Micheal told me, standing up.

I felt myself turn a dark shade of pink just as he said that, thinking he would find out what a pathetic move I had made.

"They're not here either. Let me quickly check the system." I followed him to the desktop that had been set up by the counters, "It says we have plenty in stock, but I can't seem to find any of them, I'm sorry."

"Then I guess I'll just have to come back next week or something."

"Or can I order it for you?" he asked. I thought about that for a while and then said: "No, I'll come back, I like to be surprised by what's available."

Worried that that was the end of our conversation, I quickly added: "Do you have any other recommendations that I could maybe check out now?" Michael looked slightly thrown by my question, but quickly recovered and answered: "Um... If I have to base it off of Against The Current and All Time Low, I would suggest Simple Plan. Their new album just came out, but I think Get Your Heart On! is better."

I walked behind him as he headed towards the shelf with Simple Plan on it and as he handed the CD to me he said: "Plus, this one features the guy from All Time Low. So yeah." I nodded, taking the CD from him, "Thanks."

I went to pay for the CD and walked over to the bus stop with a smile on my face as I clutched the new addition to my music collection.

I would have to tell Sloane about this; it had gone so much better than we'd planned.
