"Hey ash, Come and have a look at this one!"
Jacob shouted towards me, waving an old photo in his fingertips.
"Hold it still, I can't see with you moving it around like that" I replied, whilst trying to focus on the faded image in front of me. "What are you showing me Jacob?" I asked, trying to squint at the tiny photograph that was still being frantically waved in my face.
"Can't you tell?? it's us when we were baby's dummy" Jacob said, pushing his tongue into his bottom lip and making a uhhh sound like I was thick.
"All baby's look the same, round and squishy" I replied back sarcastically.
Jacob grinned at my tone, showing his perfectly white teeth.
"Ok Ash, dont get salty with me"

"Whatever Jacob, can we just go downstairs and get some drinks or something"

"You wanted to look at the old pictures in the first place"

"I know but I'm bored now, just help me put them away"
Midway through my sentence, Jacob's bedroom door swung open, and my twin brother stepped in.
"Sup Chad, me and your sis were just remembering the old times with these old photos" Jacob said whilst jerking his head in my direction.
"I know, I could hear you two from downstairs arguing, so could the whole block to be honest" Chad laughed, high fiving Jacob while they both grinned stupidly at each other. I rolled my eyes.
They've been doing that same high five since elementary school.
"Anyway" Chad continued, turning to me, "mom says we gotta go home now cause of homework and shit"
Jacob got up and hugged me, I always felt a tingle when he did that, if only he knew about how I felt...
"Text me later" Jacob said as we pulled away, giving me a wink.
I nodded dumbly,
dammit Ashley!!  you've known this boy for years but you still have to act like that around him? I said to myself.
