"None whatsoever." Lukas, Arthur's adopted younger brother stated as he leaned his hand on his palms.
"Well then, we might as well get to know each other a little better, seeing as we're stuck together. I'll start!! I'm Amelia, I love the color blue, the weirdest thing I've ever done is lick a foreign king's face on a dare and then pretended it was custom, and I'm good with my super-mega-awesome brass knuckles and swords! Oh, and if you couldn't tell, we're saying our favorite color, the weirdest thing we've ever done, and which weapon we're the best at using." Amelia told everyone as she used a variety of gestures to enhance what she was saying, only some of which actually made sense. Little did she know that Arthur, Kiku, and Ivan were all very jealous of that King.
"Eh? Oh- my name is Matthew, my favorite color is purple, the weirdest thing I've ever done is eat an entire scroll, and I guess I'm pretty good with swords." Matthew said sheepishly, blushing bright red at the scroll part.
"Mattie? Why the heck did you eat all that paper?" Maria asked curiously.
"Oh, well I was writing... something and Yao was about to come in and I didn't want anyone to find it so I just... ate it." Matthew said as he glanced at Maria.
"You could have just, like, made an awesome fire and burned it." Maria told him, to which Matthew responded to by putting his head down on the table an muttering incoherent things. "Anyways, I am the AWESOME MARIA, my favorite color is white, the weirdest thing I've ever done is cut off some of my hair, glue it to my face and pretend to be a monster, and I'm awesome with a dagger." Maria said, leaving many unsure (except for Amelia, who had aided her) as to why exactly she had deemed it necessary to pretend to be a monster.
"My name is Madison, my favorite color is yellow (the color of pineapples), the weirdest thing I've ever done was pretend to be Maria's betrothed so that one creepy dude would back off and Amelia could punch the **** outta him, and I'm good with fist-fights. Oh! And another thing! Amelia, Maria, and I are in the AWESOME trio, so don't mess with us." The Sapphirean noblewoman said as she cracked her knuckles.
"My name is Lukas, I like the color grey, I'm not going to say the weirdest thing I've ever done, and I use magic." The Emeraldean blond said as he looked around coolly, silently daring the others to say that magic isn't real.
"My name is Leon, I like the color red, I'm also not going to say what the weirdest thing I've done is, and I hate fighting." The young male said.
"Wait- you're Kiku's brother right?" Amelia inquired.
"Yes." Leon answered.
"My name is Yao, I don't have a favorite color, I'm normal so I don't do weird things unlike most of you, and I can use daggers pretty well." Yao said as he looked at Amelia, Maria, and Madison disapprovingly while they giggled conspiratorially.
"My name is Emil, my favorite color is grey, I've used my pet puffin as a ventriloquist dummy to confuse people, and I've never really fought before." He said.
"Da, I always try to make sure my nobles never fight." Ivan said. "Also, my name is Ivan, my favorite color is purple, you do not want to know what the weirdest thing I've done is, and I am good with every kind of weapon." The Amethysian prince said while giggling mischievously.
"My name is Kiku, my favorite color is red, I do not wish to disclose the weirdest thing I have done, and I am good with katanas, which I brought with me." Kiku said as he unsheathed the katanas and whirled them around expertly.
"My name is Arthur, my favorite color is green, I can drink forty cups of tea in one hour, and I also use magic." The Emeraldean prince said while looking on approvingly at Lukas, who nodded at him.
"Well," Amelia said, "now we know a bunch about each other! But really though, what are we going to do?" She asked as she looked each person in the eyes seriously. "We can't just stay holed up in here forever."
"How about we discuss this when we are all well-rested, after all, it is around sunrise and I think we are all exhausted." Arthur said as he stood up, yawning.
"Alrighty then Arty, let's get some sleep. But, I do have some not-so-good news. We only have six beds, so we're gonna have to share. I'll sleep with Mattie!" Amelia said as she got up and hugged her brother. She then went off to flop on one of the old beds and close her eyes. Mathhew sighed and tucked his older sister in, then fell down on the bed too.
"Madison and I can share! We'll be the awesome duo while Amelia's over there!" Maria said as she dragged Madison along with her. They both got into bed with the grace Amelia had shown earlier.
"Lukas, I suppose you and I can sleep together." Arthur said hesitantly, to which Lukas simply nodded. The same thing happened with Kiku and Leon, leaving only Yao, Ivan, and Emil. They knew one of them would get a bed all to themselves, and the other two would be left there feeling extremely awkward. After many uneasy glances, Yao and Emil ended up sharing a bed, and Ivan got one to himself.
Slowly but surely, all the royals and their plus ones fell into sleep's sweet embrace, letting their minds wander, if only for a short time, from the troubles that plagued them. Outside if their little sanctuary, things had calmed. The rebels had successfully taken over every kingdom, and were just waiting for the people to be a little more compliant. Oh, and they wished for one more thing.
And that was Princess Amelia's head on a silver platter.
