Chapter 5 Sydney's P.O.V:
Leonardo is a strange boy in the same foster home as me. He inspired many of my songs. He looks at me like I matter and I think he does care. I wish I had the courage to speak to him. To take a leap of faith as Ms.Angeline says. But I'm a coward. Would Leonardo see past my flaws? Would he help with the bruises?
Leonardo is timid. He rarely speaks. But he loves to play with his hair. His shaggy black hair. It covers his deep sea blue eyes. I could see right through him. He's gone through tragedy too. Maybe his parents are lost too. I want to reach out and grab him and tell him how I know how it feels. That ice cold chill through you spine that never goes away. " The past is something you can't escape alone." Ms. Angeline says. Maybe we can escape the past together. Forever. Me and Leonardo.
