I wanted nothing, but to stay in my bed and sleep. Especially after the run-in with the Venatores. Like seriously, when did they start teaching them how to maim, kill, and seriously injure people? When they were in the womb?
I was trying my best to avoid Matty and Aurora, mostly because of her threat. Also because I broke their front door. Not my best moment.
I wasn't however trying to avoid Giovanni. He intrigues me. Something about him is different. I want to learn more about him and his past. Maybe that's just me being nosey. Maybe it's something else.
"Arian!" I look up to see Matty heading towards me, quickly.
Shit.
I turn around and quicken my pace in the direction I had just came from.
"Arian, wait," he called behind me, as I continued rushing through the crowd of students. Seeing an empty classroom, I ran towards it.
I turned to see if Matty was still following me and closed the door. Suddenly, I bumped into someone, sending both of us to the ground with me on top of them.
"Shit, I'm so so——" I began, but cut myself off when I saw who it was. "Oh it's you."
"Yes, it's me. Now get off of me before I kill you, lupus."
"I'm quite comfortable here actually, now that you mention it. I think I stay right here," I smirk, not moving.
"I swear on the hunters code if you don't move, I'll——"
"You'll what, Ace?" I bend closer to his face. "Killing is illegal. You don't want to go to prison do you?"
He glared at me in response. "Besides this isn't so bad. I can finally see how blue your eyes are," I whispered bending so that our faces were closer, "and how perfectly pink your lips are."
Of course I was not actually going to kiss him, nor do I care about his face. I just love playing with people. It gives me joy. I mean, come on, he tried to kill me less than 3 hours ago.
I can tell my words got to him by the way he sighed and closed is eyes, gulping hard.
I bent my head so my lips were brushing his ear. "Who would have thought the big, bad, Ace would be so easy to seduce. Especially by a werewolf."
He snapped out of whatever trance my words put him in and pushed me off of him, twisting my arm back hard.
"Ow, ow, ow! Okay! Don't you think twice in one day is too much? I may be able to heal, but I still feel everything like a normal human does. I'm still healing from this morning," I cry out.
"That's the point," he says, pushing my arm farther causing me to cry out.
"Okay! I was just playing around. I didn't think you'd actually be affected. I'm sorry just—— please let me go before you break my arm," I say, praying he won't kill me for real this time. Finally, he let me go and I fell forward, grasping my arm.
"God what do they feed you, steroids," I huff, standing up rubbing my arm.
"You're lucky Arian, you're lucky we didn't kill you today," he said grabbing the front of my shirt, pushing me back so I was in between him and a wall. "If it weren't for me you'd be dead right now. It's only because I——" he paused. Wait, what?
"Because you what?"
"Just stay out of my way, Arian. Or else next time you will be dead, and I'll be the one killing you." He gave me one final shove before walking out the classroom.
