Dick woke up an hour earlier that morning. He wanted to get his morning training done but still, have time to look somewhat presentable and also take a shower so he didn't reek.

"Morning Al." Dick greeted the old man while pouring himself a glass of cold water.

"You're up early Master Dick. I recalled Master Bruce giving you the week off." Alfred noticed. Dick chugged the whole glass of water. He was still thirsty after an hour of training.

"He did but I'm meeting a friend later so I wanted to take a shower so I don't smell like sweat." Dick explained rinsing his glass before putting it in the dishwasher. "Shoot, I forgot to ask Bruce."

"Do you want to inform Master Bruce yourself or do you want me to?" Alfred asked poking his head up from the newspaper he was reading.

"Um, I'll go ask him now. Is he still in his room?" Alfred nodded. The teen left the kitchen then ran up the stairs and down the hallway to Bruce's master bedroom. Dick looked down at the watch that Alfred got him for his birthday. 10:13. Still plenty of time to get ready.

The door was closed so he knocked on it. Strange, Bruce was usually up by now. "Bruce, it's Dick."

Dick heard some ruffling from the bedsheets before Bruce got out of bed and opened the door. He only opened it wide enough so Dick couldn't see past Bruce's well-built body. It was like he was hiding something. Or someone. Dick smirked.

"'Morning Dick, why are you up so early?" Bruce asks yawning.

"My friend asked me if I could hang out with him today. I just came up here to ask if that was okay." Dick explained while he tried to peek around Bruce.

"Do I know this boy?" Bruce yawns.

"No."

"Is he a friend from school?"

"He is in the same grade as me." Dick scratches the back of his head. Technically he wasn't lying.

"Uh sure. What time are you going to be back by?" Bruce agrees.

"I'll call you before Alfred starts making dinner." Dick tells him.

"Okay then, have fun." Before Bruce shut the door Dick decided it would be funny to yell out "'Morning Clark."

Dick arrived at the hotel about 5 minutes early. He walked to the lounge and got out his phone. Dick texted Wally to tell him that he was already down at the hotel lobby waiting for him.

Both guest and staff members were starting to notice Dick's presence and were stare at him like an exotic zoo animal. The teen could see the gossiping starting to spread like wildfire. With every whisper, he got more and more aggravated. Get a life and leave me alone!

Breathe Dick, just breathe.

He pulled his green hood up to hide his face. The last thing he wanted was to be bombarded noisy reporters and journalist waiting to get a scoop on Gotham's most elite family. He just wished Wally would hurry up so he could get out of here.

"Hey, I hope I didn't keep you waiting for long." Wally said walking up to Dick. The younger boy turned his head around to see Wally sporting a light blue tank top, a pair of patterned kahuna shorts, and a grey Van's snapback cap. Dick noticed the lean muscles on Wally's arms. Maybe he swam.

It seemed like Wally was still completely clueless of who Dick was nor did he know anything about his past and that alone made Dick smile. He had finally met someone who wasn't just friends with him because he was Bruce Wayne's kid.

"No, not at all." Dick smiled. "Quick change of plans, want to go out for a slice of pizza instead? There us a pizzeria right beside the arcade." And it's a perfect place to escape the press and news outlets.

"Now you speaking my language, what are you waiting for? I'm starving." Wally said dramatically. The two of them exited the hotel and walked down to the pizzeria.

"Any suggestions Dick?" Wally asks looking up at the menu board. "I basically will eat anything."

"Hmm, how about we order a medium meat lovers. It comes with two drinks and a cookie." Dick suggests.

"Make it a large." Wally smiles. "I have a very high metabolism. I can eat all day and never fell completely full."

"I envy you, my slim friend." Dick sighs walking up to the cashier to place the order. "A large meat lovers pizza with medium Fanta and what do you want Wally?"

"Coke please."

"Okay, your total comes to $21.78." Dick pulls out his wallet but Wally already beat him to the bill giving the cashier 25 dollars. "Here is your change and your order will be ready in about 15 minutes, take a seat anywhere while you wait."

The teens walk over to a window booth made for two sitting across from each other waiting for their food. "So, Dick, tell me about yourself." Wally says trying to kill the awkward silence.

"I'm not that interesting." Besides being Batman's sidekick."I do a lot of gymnastics and martial arts like Aikido, Tae Kwon Do, Judo, Hapkido, Jiu-jitsu, Kendo, and some boxing. I know a few different languages like Russian and French and also a few others."

"How the heck do you not find those things interesting? All I'm good at is science and running! And on top of all of that, you are going into senior year."

"I'm just good with multitasking."

"So what about your parents?" Wally asked making Dick frown. Wally quickly notices and tries to take back his previous statement before he offended his new friend. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to, though."

"I just don't want you to look at me differently, I don have any real friends." Dick admits.

"I promise I won't. That doesn't mean you have to tell me, though, I mean my family is pretty crazy too." Wally says leaving out the part where his uncles are the Flash and Green Lantern.

"My dad- well, adopted dad might be Bruce Wayne," Dick tells Wally. The speedster was genuinely surprised at the new information because Wally knew Bruce Batman.

Long story short Barry accidentally called Batman Bruce in front of him a few years back when he first started being Kid Flash. The words 'so your boy wonder' nearly slipped out of Wally's mouth.

"Oh, cool." Wally finally says getting Dick to raise an eyebrow. He expected a much bigger reaction than 'Oh, cool.' Dick hears their number being called. "Finally."

As Dick watched Wally get up to get their pizza, for a few moments Dick thought he recognized Wally but from where?
