Another Encounter

“Aren't you supposed to be training,” Andre implied with a raised brow.

“Yeah, but who's going to know if I take a break for a while?”she replied with a smirk.

“I will,” Andre replied calmly.

“What are you going to do about it?” she replied, batting her eyelashes innocently.

“Sorry if I'm interrupting something but don't we have to train?” I was starting to get annoyed by their endless squabbling.

“ You know what? Let's go outside and test you, Steph. Stella, I'll take you to Master Indra since he wants to see your special abilities,” Andre spoke.

“ Sure you guys go to Master Indra, I'll walk around, I think I need a break. It's going to take a while for me to get used to being in such a beautiful environment,” I smiled,”such grand genius loci…”

They all gave me confused looks and I  briskly walked away before meeting up with Instructor Nick again. We shook hands and bowed.

“ Nice to see you again Stephanie,” Instructor Nick started.

“You too sir,”

“Did you finish you finish training yet?” he asked.

“No, sadly we had to leave the simulation area because someone there was being too obnoxious, “ I replied.

Instructor Nick masked his emotions with  an emotionless mask, but I could tell he was a bit angry from the glint in his eye, and the tone of his voice. He stared into my eyes intently, as of trying to read my mind. Gradually, I started to hear a voice in my head. The voice was so faint, I  was straining to make sense of this faint voice.

“Was she a tall girl with red hair” the voice started calmy, “with blonde highlights?”

I nodded. I looked up, and I noticed that Nick broke his gaze, and of all people, Master Indra had just popped out of nowhere, standing right alongside instructor Nick.

“My apologies, for your first time should not have been so interrupting,” Master Indra stated.

Anyways, do you happen to need a tour around, I'm not particularly busy at the moment,” he said while glancing at his modern watch.

“ Is that an Apple Watch sir?”

“ Yes, well sort of, it's built to look like one but it's main purpose isn't for the same purposes as a regular Apple Watch. You see, this watch has some special mechanisms added to the original design.”

“ Hmmm, speaking of watches, I think that you need a trip to the tech lab for some tech gear.” Nicholas concluded.

“What type of tech gear do you have?” I asked curiously. Obviously this subject spiked my interest.
