The War

|Aaron's POV|

I looked at the caller ID and it was Blake's Alpha. I picked it up and he said, "The war, it's here..." He hung up immediately after, I stopped and looked at everyone that was in the room. They were all looking at me expectantly. I cleared my throat and told all of them except Ben to exit the extremely suffocating room.

Once everyone was out of the room I turned to Ben. I couldn't hear him, but I could see his lips moving. All I could do was stare.

Finally, he realized that I wasn't hearing him and he waved his enormous hand in front of my face. I came to my senses and said to him, "the war, it's here. I just got the call from Alpha Parks." His eyes got wider and wider the entire time I spoke. He took what seemed like 2 hours to respond. "Um... well there is also something I need to tell you." He said rubbing the back of his neck.

"What is it?" I said with a questioning look. "Aspen is in the hospital. She lost the babies. Also, my dad is dead." He said and then burst out crying. I looked at him sympathetically. The only loss I have that I can compare to his is when I lost Aspen. I pulled him into a hug, but it was really awkward, but he started laughing now as I awkwardly patted him on the back.

We pulled apart and I looked at him seriously. "I'm really sorry about your nieces or nephews and your dad, but we have to tell Aspen. Like now." He looked terrified. "I know, but I'm really scared to tell her, she is already going through so much." "I know, I know, but she and Olivia need to be prepared at any time. Their training needs to begin now." After I said that, I walked out of the room. I then headed straight for the hospital.

|Aspen's POV|

I was laying in bed with my eyes closed just thinking about things and waiting for Blake to get back from taking a walk. Finally, I heard the door open and I opened my eyes expecting to find Blake, but I find my brother Ben and Aaron standing at the end of my bed.

Ben looked terrified and Aaron looked worried as he began to speak at a rather fast rate. "So I got a weird call from a number I didn't recognize. They told me that I've been warned. My security team found out where the call came from and that's when I got a call from Mathis Parks. He told me that the war is here..."
