I woke up. Jack was still sitting on the chair and was looking in my direction. He didn't move or say anything so I stood up and went to him. Then I waved with my hand in front of his mask but he didn't move. He must has fallen asleep. I giggled. Then I looked up and wanted to look around so I went to his shelves first. There were lots of jars that were usually used in labs. In the jars were organs and weird things. In one of them was a heart, in the other were eyes, next to it were kidneys...I was kind of really interested in all of these disgusting things so I took one of the glasses with a brain. Suddenly I heard a voice right behind me. "Don't touch it." I cringed and dropped the jar. But he catched it before it could hit the ground. Jack looked up to me. I felt his angry face behind his mask. I began to weep. "I-I'm sorry." I whispered and went to the bed. I sat down and tried to calm down. Suddenly I felt his hand on my shoulder and I turned around. I saw him standing there with the jar in one hand. "[y/n], why are you crying?" Jack asked me. I looked away. And took a deep breath. "I'm doing everything wrong." I said. "Everything I do goes wrong. I-I nearly destroyed your jar. And y-you would hate me like the other people do." I tried to hold my tears back and covered my face with my hands. I heard how he climbed on the bed but I didn't turn around. Suddenly Jack wrapped his arms around me. I was surprised so I didn't know what to say. He pressed me again his cold chest. "Don't cry." He said abstractedly. After a while he began to talk again: "I am interested in these things too. That's...why I'm like this now. So why should I hate you for this? You just have to be careful with these things." I looked up to him. Then he gave me the jar. "How did you get it?" I asked him hesitantly and pointed to the brain. "Well, if you want to we could go and get a new one." Jack grinned. I nodded immediately and he took my hand and we ran outside.
