Chapter 15 - The End

"Come on!" He shouted and laughed. "W-wait! I'm not that fast!" I tried to overtake him. We still ran through the dark streets after we killed the old man. Jack slowed down. "I think the cops lost us." When I was finally standing next to him I took deep breaths and tried to take a short rest. "Let's go." He said again. "Please." I whispered hardly and raised my hand. He giggled. "Ok. Let's go over there." He pointed to a wall. It was the border of the forest Jack lived in. Jack grabbed my waist and pushed me up the high and cold wall. I sat down and he also climbed up and sat down next to me. "It was pretty exciting." I said after a while. He nodded. "Yea it was more fun with you." I blushed slightly. "Here." He said and gave me a little bag. I was confused but I opened it. There was a little muffin and a sandwich in it. "Oh." I was surprised. Jack came closer. "I did it for you. I knew you wouldn't like the kidneys like I do." "Thank you." I whispered happily. Suddenly he asked me: "You wouldn't be scared or laugh, would you?" "Huh?" "I mean...when I show you my face." He sounded cheerless. I took his hand. "I would never be scared or laugh about you." He nodded slowly. Then he took off his hood and his hands ran over his hair to the closure of his mask. He opened it and took it off. Then he looked at me. His face was grey and his dark brown hair fell in his face. He had a beautiful thin mouth and a straight nose. But his eyes were only black holes. "It's a long story.." He said and looked down. "But I learned seeing without my eyes." I said nothing. "I-is it bad?" He whispered doubtful. "No." My hand ran over his cheek. "You're the best and most handsome guy I've ever seen." Then I began to haw. "I mean..Uh..I.." Suddenly he grabbed my chin softly. "[y/n]." I looked at his blushing face. "I never thought that this could happen so fast but..I think...I fell in love with you." "Jack..." I whispered and smiled softly. But before I could say something I felt his cold lips on mine. I was shocked but then I closed my eyes and just devoted myself to him.
