Waking Up

When looking back upon my life, I realize now that it was a dull one. I wouldn't say it was exempt from all excitement, but if asked if I would want to live it again I would decline. I don't remember much, but from what I do remember my life was empty and depressing. I have just woken up in an empty room with no furniture. There are no doors from what I can see, and the only decoration in the room is a sign on the wall with the words "The Moratorium."
"The waiting... Huh," I said to myself. "I wonder what I am 'waiting' for."
As I said that, a mirror appeared on the wall in front of me. In the mirror was a reflection of someone that looked like me, but it couldn't be me. This was because in the mirror, the girl looking back at me had no eyes. All there was were shadows.
"Hello, Alex," said the shadow. "I have much to tell you."

Please tell me what you think so far... I'm trying something new...
