Not your average Love Story

Chapter 2

~Lea POV~

               'It's been 14 years since Igneous first revealed himself and we've grown closer. I'm actually falling for him, I'm just scared he doesn't return my feelings.'

             Right now me and Igneous are outside playing hid and seek and I have to find him which, surprisingly, is really hard... Wait! I just heard a noise behind the north wall that I'm standing by.

             I climbed over the wall and saw him. It looked like he didn't notice me so I jumped on his back and started tickling him. 

~Igneous POV~

          'Over the years I've fallen for her,Lea. Turns out she's my mate. I just hope she feels the same way for me.'

            We're currently playing hide and seek and I'm hiding behind the north wall and swinging my tail... Crap! It just hit a bush, I hope Lea doesn't find me.

            Just as I finished that thought something jumped on my back and started tickling me, so I rolled onto my belly where she continued to tickle me, until finally I got her off me.

"Soooo," Lea said, " What cha get me for my birthday tomorrow?" She asked in a sweet voice, but I didn't fall for it.

"Not tellin," I said and flew over the wall and into the house to get the meat and cook it. (With my fire.)

After a minute she came running in and was about to beg, but I guess she saw the food cause she sat at the table.

Once we finished dinner i went to the living room and laid down. Soon after she came in and curled on my side and I put my wing over her to keep her warm. Once I heard her soft snoring I let myself slip into dream land, too.

~Time Skip~
~Lea POV~

            'Ah! Today's the day, my birthday. Can't wait to see what Igneous got me,' Lea thought as she woke on the couch instead of cuddled into Igneous. 

            "Get ready, I got a surprise for you," Igneous said and walked back into the kitchen to continue making breakfast.

            I ran to my room to get dressed in a white sundress and teal flats with a teal headband. Once dressed, I ran downstairs to get to Ig to give me my present.

         "Ig! Ig! Can I have my present now? Pleeeeease!" I begged with a pouty lip.

        "Yes, we need to leave now, anyways, to make it before nightfall,"Ig informed me. I hoped on his back and we flew off.

It's been like 30 minutes since we started to fly and I've been asking where we are going, but Ig just keeps brushing me off.

"For the last time, if u don't stop I will turn around right now and not give u your present!" Ig snapped. That shut me up real fast.
