Chapter Eight- Medicine Don't Last Forever ✔

"Kaboom!!!"
I fell flat on my back. The force from the bomb was so strong, it knocked me off of my feet. I got up and dusted off my sandy suit, and I saw that the hydroclops was finally destroyed! My plan worked!!!
"Otis! Otis, are you okay?" Oscar asked as he ran across the beach. I gave a thumbs up. I was so glad that the duck was gone, and I headed back to headquarters.
I jumped through the tubes, and walked in the tube lobby. O'Malley greeted me with a message from Ms. O.
Meet me in my office as soon as possible! -Ms. O.

"Thanks, O'Malley." I said as I headed out.
"No problem!" He shouted back as the doors to the tube lobby shut behind me. I ran up the stairs into Ms. O's office. Ms. O sat back in her chair with a smile on her face.
"I trust that you disposed of the bomb?"
I nodded.
"Good. Many things have happened since you left. Remember what happened in Chapter Two of Olympia's book? She said that she listened in to Odd Odysseus' phone calls, and that we could stop oddness before it even happened. That's what is going on now! Olympia has been on the phone with countless villains all afternoon. We are able to stop all oddness before it happens!!!!! Olympia is in the ball room right now until we can find a place for her."
I looked over to the ball room. "Uhh, Ms. O?" I said.
"What is it, Otis?"
"Why is Dr. O over with Olympia? She looks flustered!" I said. Ms. O got out of her chair and looked out of the glass wall. She opened the door and we ran down the stairs.
"Dr. O!" Ms. O shouted. "What's going on?"
"Apparently, Olympia has forgotten her false identity. And her real identity. She's back to not knowing anything anymore."
"Olympia! Olympia, it's me, Otis! Do you remember me?"
She shook her head. An idea came to mine.
"Dr. O, remember that medicine you gave to Olympia?"
"Yes. What about it?"
"Well, when she had it before, she identified herself as Odd Odysseus. Maybe the medicine is running out of the effect!"
"Good thinking, Otis!" Dr. O said. "If we give her another dose, it will most likely work. Let's do it!"
We took Olympia into Dr. O's office, and Dr. O searched for the bottle. She pulled it out of a cabinet, and filled up a spoon. Olympia cringed at the unpleasant scent. Dr. O shoved the large spoonful into her mouth. Olympia swallowed it.
"Do you remember anything yet?" I asked.
"No."
We waited for much longer than before. Finally, Olympia remembered her "identity", and we were back in business. Unfortunately for Ms. O, she took back her office. That night, we were able to hear Olympia's conversations with Symmetric Al. At midnight, we hid in bushes by an old warehouse where Al arranged to meet Odd Odysseus. Out of nowhere, Ms. O came running towards me, shining a flashlight in my face.
"Otis!" Ms. O loudly whispered.
"What is it, Ms. O?" I asked.
"We need to talk! I found chapters three and four underneath Olympia's desk!!!"
I looked over Ms. O's shoulder while she opened the first pages. She held the flashlight to the page, and pointed to a specific spot.
"See! Right here! Odd Odysseus made a meeting with Symmetric Al. We were able to find out where they would be before the two villains got there. So Otis and I hid in the bushes by the warehouse that Al and Odysseus would meet at. When Al arrived, Odysseus wasn't there. We waited for a long time, and all of a sudden, Otis sneezed! Al found us, and he thought that we were posing as Odd Odysseus! He had brought ten other villains with him.

Mr. Lightning,
and Jamie Jam.

They all thought that Odd Odysseus didn't exist. So they kidnapped Otis, and sent me back to tell Ms. O to give them all of our gadgets before 24 hours, otherwise they would hide Otis where no one would ever find him again!"

I looked at Ms. O with a worried expression. "Ms. O?" She looked at me. "I've been fighting off a cold over the past few days.. do you think-" at that time, we heard crunching footsteps coming from only a block away. We hid in the bushes by the warehouse, and waited for Al to come out so that we could arrest him for causing oddness. We looked everywhere for Olympia to show up and save us, but she didn't come on time. I was really sweating it out, now. I was PRAYING that this story would be wrong!!! From our vantage point, we could see Symmetric Al. He was wearing a checkered vest and a polka dot tie.
"Odysseus? Odysseus, where are you?" He whispered. "Come out! I haven't got all night for this. Show yourself!"
"Aaaaaa- aaaachooooooo!" I sneezed...
"Uh oh!" Ms. O groaned as Symmetric Al approached us.
"Good evening, Odd Squad. You're just in time."
