Two years ago...

Xavier and I waited as the money was counted for the third time. We had just made our hundredth but last drop which almost got us both killed. Being in the street was not how I envisioned my life but it was what I knew. I was sweating bullets while X had this cheesy smile plastered on his face as if he couldn't be touched. My lip turned in disgust as I watched Big Mike toss a chip in his mouth. Just his presence alone made me sick to my stomach.

I ran my hands across the front of my jeans as dude finished counting. This was suppose to be an easy job but it didn't turn out that way. I felt bad that X was about to be blindsided but I couldn't warn him beforehand. He never could keep his mouth shut and with what was about to go down I needed him not to know anything.

What was about to happen would shake the whole city and he had no clue.

"We good Jay?" Big Mike asked. He was our boss and one who took us in when we had nothing else. He was the man who made me the sinner I was today. He was the man many feared and most envied. I was tired of working for him and had to do things my way. It was now or never and today was one of those days that I was going with the now.

Jay smirked, "Man I guess so." Jay replied.

I couldn't help but to let out a breath of air which made Big Mike laugh. Xavier stood and dapped it up with him while I pulled my gun sending a bullet through Jay skull. I grabbed Xavier's gun from his back side and sent one to Big Mike's chest before he could retaliate.

"Yo what the fuck!?"

I ignored his yelling, "Load that shit in the truck." I directed, smashing everything in sight.

Xavier stood dumbfounded for seconds before doing as I said. Going through my pocket I pulled out a paint brush. Using the puddle of blood pouring from Mike's chest I painted the white wall behind us sending a message to all that weren't aware who was now in charge.

This event marked the day of my downfall and I was the only one to blame for it all.

...

"What's good baby boy?" X asked, seeing one of his youngns' walk in.

"I'm straight. I need to ask a favor."

I ashed my blunt before standing and walking over to my door closing it. Xavier knew I wasn't keen to doing favors for anyone. He always wanted to be the nice guy which didn't sit right with me.

"Ask then." I replied. He nodded his head before looking to X for approval. I never seen so much fear in someone eyes just to ask something. These youngns' nowadays was a whole different type of soft.

"I got sided on my last drop."

"What drop?" I asked, unaware of him being out with my product.

X groaned, "I got this man chill." He huffed.

"If you had this then how my shit get taken?" I asked livid.

"I just need some time to get it back. I promise to fix things." He begged.

"I gave you one fucking chance Tre. How the hell can I trust you to fix it?" X barked.

Tre head dropped, "I can do this X." He mumbled.

Normally I would beat his ass but today I wasn't in the mood. Today was a day of celebration and I wasn't about to let anyone get in the way of that.
