Robert "Meek" Williams

Nic was in mama Carol's room talking to them and I was being to get nervous. She's been in there for 45 minutes.

"Stop worrying. I don't think she would rat you out.", Sherika said.

"I don't want her to be punished for me. That's not now it works."

"But you do it all the time for her."

"Yeah I know. Cause that's my baby."

I saw Nicki walk past my room and I went to her room.

"What happened?"

"Remember all the times you saved me? I did this one for you?"

"What was the punishment?"

"I can't have any plans this week and I can't have my phone, but it's alright. I did it for a good cause. They want you though."

She kissed my cheek and laid on her bed. I shook my head and went in their room.

"Sit down son.", Robert said and I did.

"So Nika told us that you and Fah are doing the baby thing that you did in freshman year."

"Yeah we are."

"Why would you do it twice if both of you passed? She's saving your butt for you but all you have to do is come clean.", Carol said.

"Alright. Fah!"

She walked in the room and waved. She handed me the packet and I gave it to mama Carol.

"Why does this look like familiar?", Robert asked.

"I don't know. You should open it."

I sat down on the bed as they opened it. Robert looked at Fah and me and sighed.

"I always knew this was going to happen, but not this soon. Is that where you went this morning?"

"Yes.", I said and he nodded.

"Well soon, you're going to have to make sure the baby has all the stuff which means you need to get a job son. We'll help out a little but you'll have to do everything else."

"I understand."

"Onika, come here.", Carol said.

"Yes?"

"I'm very proud of you. You protected him. That's a very big thing, but it was nice. Here's your phone back and you're off punishment.", Robert said.

"Thank you.", Nicki said.

"Now you guys go have fun. Your mother and I are about to go on a date night. Meek, you and I will talk when we get back."

I nodded and walked out.

"Have fun!", Nicki yelled.

"We will!", Carol yelled.

We all went in Nicki's room and I closed the door. I sat on the beanbag and Nicki threw a pillow at me.

"I was going to sit on that.", Nicki said.

"Well too bad. My butt touched it first."

"I don't care about your butt. Turd."

"What we about to eat tonight?", Sherika asked.

"Of course you would be thinking about food right now.", I said.

"I mean, your baby momma is here Meek.", Nicki said.

"She just ate. She good."

"You're horrible."

"We should call everyone over since your parents won't be back until tomorrow."

"That sounds like a good idea.", I said.

"We're leaving! We left $500 on the table!", Robert yelled.

"Damn. How long they staying out?"

"Who knows. They're in and out all the time.", Nicki said and shrugged.

"Aww. Come here little baby."

She sat in my lap and laid her head on my chest. I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her head.

"You guys should hurry up and date.", Sherika said.

Nicki giggled and I nodded.

"Soon. I'm not rushing it.", I said and Sherika nodded.

"What's up.", I said and let everyone in.

Tak, Deen, Chino, O, & Thembi walked in the house with bags and Fah came downstairs.

"What you need?", I asked.

"I was wondering if you I could spend the night."

I looked at her and her phone rung. She looked at it in fear and looked up at me.

"Please?"

"Go upstairs. I'll be there in a minute."

She nodded and went upstairs. I ran my hand over my face and walked in the kitchen.

"Why Fah here?", Tak asked.

"Cause she is. Mind yo business nigga."

He laughed and I walked out the kitchen, going upstairs. I walked in my room and closed the door.

"So what's up. What you not telling me?"

"He's waiting for me."

"Who?"

"My dad."

I looked up at her and shook my head.

"You can stay here, but I gotta talk to my parents to make sure."

"Thank you Meek."

"No problem. You hungry?"

"A little bit."

"Alright. I'll be up in a minute. Just sit tight for a second."

I walked out and closed my door and went downstairs.

"What happened?", Nicki asked.

"Her dad out of jail."

"Fah's dad?", O asked and I nodded.

"That's not good at all. I thought he was supposed to get out next year."

"Well he's out now and he's threatening her."

"Now she has to stay here? I already have to deal with her at school.", Nicki said.

"I don't have to stay. I can find somewhere else to go."

I turned around and saw Fah standing near the railing.

"No, you're not going anywhere. You're staying here.", I said.

"You sure it won't be a problem? I don't want to cause anything."

"I'm sure. Just go upstairs."

I watched her go upstairs and Nicki shook her head.

"We won't be getting into a relationship if you're doing stuff for her."

Nicki pushed past me and went upstairs to her room.

"Damn."

Is Nicki being dramatic?
