I walk back into the ball and act like nothing happened between me and Eric and that annoying girl who got my mate
I walk towards a couple who I met before but I couldn't remember who they were as I slowly come towards them I notice then smile at me.
Both bow as I come face to face to them
"Selena it been so long, I'm so sorry about are son Eric" the women says as her face crumples in shock
She touches my shoulder and rubs it
"It fine don't worry Delia and yes it has been a while, how have you all been?" I say bowing back finally remember who they were
I was so shocked that I couldn't remember them but then again the last time I was them was like over 4 years ago when I last saw Eric
"We are deeply sorry though how could he not choice between his mate and a simple girl who wasn't, we have been good busy like always showing Eric the ropes of being an alpha" she says looking at me
"It's fine and oh yeah I forgot his alpha now he truly has changed since I last saw Eric anyway let's not go on about Eric how have you been John? " I ask Eric dad smiling at him
"Yes let's not, also I have been well you know how it is" he says smiling at me.
"I do" I say smiling back
As I carry on the conversation I feel someone tap my shoulder and I notice it jake and I smile
"Please excuse me" I say bowing then taking jake hand and go towards the dance floor again
We dance till it was late and I had so much fun forgetting about Eric that I actually had fun.
When the dance was over I went back to Eric family
I could see that Eric mom was upset just looking at her face pale and her eyes less bright then normal she normal had dark green eyes but her eyes were lighter and her lips we slack with disappointment.
Also John was hugging her to cheer and I could he was disappointed to when your mates down so is the other mate its like a bond of feelings if one feels down so does the other.
"Don't be so hard on Eric, how was he meant to know that I would be his mate" I say smiling at them
They nod and I hug them good bye also to cheer them both up and walk to my room.
