I heard a banging on our door, not a someone trying to get our attention banging a slow bang like one of those meat heads trying to get in. I grab my gun and get up to check everyone Zarna heard it too cause he was up and I noticed Teagan was missing as well so then I started to panic I called Zarna and began to look around.
Aiming my gun and light I quietly yelled for Teagan and I heard something messing around in the control room, "Teagan" I called out but got no answer so I did it once more a little louder.
"Yes Axel its just me sorry I wanted to see what the hell that was." She replied and I let out a breath of relief.
"Don't do that!" I exclaimed "I was damn near ready to shoot at anything that was in there!"
"Axel relax lets go back to bed" She said lowering my gun.
"Okay" I said walking back to bed.
I heard our alarms going off which indicated it was 7 am so I jumped out of bed and showered came out and said, "New day, we better get to work everyone shower and pack up meet at the car" I said grabbing my bag and gun.
"Guys file in we got a lot to do" Kace yelled as I packed the truck.
"Alright alright" they said pushing out the door.
"Alright listen up. We're going in town to get supplies make sure you have everything you need guns, knives, ammo, whatever you need we're going out for two hours the alarms are set for 10." I said putting my bag in the truck "Teagan will stay here and keep us updated from base" I said.
"Rorie do you mind if you and Zarna stay as well?" I hesitantly asked.
"Oh no problem!" She said happily
She had known the situation cause I guess girls could tell? I don't know. But I nodded at her and mouthed thank you and she nodded back.
"Alright let's move out guys." Kace said jumping in the truck
When we were driving I heard Kace yapping away in the back.
"I just don't get it." he said finally shutting up and Kipp looked relieved.
"Kace I don't think Kipp wants you yacking his ear off" I said looking in the mirror and giggling.
Very annoyed he replied "Pay attention to the road Axel."
"Geez dude I don't need the attitude." I exclaimed looking back at the road.
After driving a bit, wrecked cars everywhere on the side of the road bodies laying there half eaten we see one of these meat heads in the road chowing down on someone. I slow the car to a stop and looked at everyone "Here's to hoping we don't turn into one of these maggots" I said returning back to the road and flooring it.
"Best. Leader. Ever." Brennan said
"Woah, he talks." Lacey said "Now we just need Kipp to talk, we don't bite you know you could like talk to us."
"I talk." Kipp said quietly "Just shy"
"We never really got to know you guys." Kace said looking at them
"You already know our names, I'm 23 Kipp is 18, Brothers, Parents are probably dead or one of these- I don't like talking about it and Rorie she's 21 found her trapped in a car surrounded by these things with her dog." Brennan said practically answering everyone of our questions.
