"Leigh wake up sweetheart! You'll be late for school." My mothers voice echoed throughout my room ringing in my ears. The smell of eggs, bacon, and pancakes reached my nostrils making a smile spread across my face.

Immediately my bedroom door swung open and the blinds were opened, causing the harsh morning rays to surround my room, hitting my face. Groaning in annoyance, a blanket was taken from my slightly warmed up body, now making me cold.

"Leigh wake up. I've called you five times already. You'll be late for school. Plus your breakfast is getting cold. If you don't eat it by now your sister will eat it maybe even your little brother Jack."

"I'll be down in a minute." I covered my face with the pillow I was resting on. "Let me make this clear. If you don't get your butt in the shower and downstairs in the next 5 minutes, I'll come in here and pour cold water all over your sleepy little head."

"Ugh, fine. Geez mom, don't have to go all commando on me." I finally sat up, rubbing my tired eyes.

"In order for me to get you out of bed you know I have to go commando."

"Just like you did to dad when you got married." My words coming out as a mumble causing my stressed out mother to give me an evil death stare. "Downstairs now." Her voice now demanding but I'm almost sure she didn't hear me.

Before she threw a pillow at me, I dashed towards the bathroom. I got in the shower turning on the hot water. My body was now more relaxed and I was now fully awake. After drying off, I brushed my hair into a tight bun. I left two strands of hair on either side of my head, curling those strands, adding a bow by the bun to complete my look. I securely tightened my fuzzy ocean blue robe and headed downstairs.

At the island, in the kitchen, was a plater with sunnyside up eggs, bacon cooked to perfection, sweet buttered pancakes with it drenched in maple syrup, and nice blueberries on the side. I sat on the stool at the small island, digging into the delicious breakfast. After devouring the food, I gulped down a glass of milk. I set my dishes in the dishwasher and went back up stairs to get dressed. On my way I tripped over a toy train.

"Jack! You little butt munch! You left your train in the hallway again!" I hollered. "Leighton don't called your brother a butt munch!" My mother hollered back. Then a door opened, Jack popping his little head through and sticking his tongue out, I returned the favor.

After finally getting dressed in some nice white jeans and a floral print shirt that sculpted out my curves, I went back to the mirror in the bathroom to check out my outfit. I immediately applied mascara and checked myself out once more, satisfied with myself. Rushing back to my room, I gathered my backpack and went outside. My sister Caroline finally came out of the house and got into her car. She is now on her last year of High School and I'm barely starting my first year. I was nervous.

"Don't worry about a thing. No one really messes with the freshmen. They are all in there little groups far from all the other grades. Try making friends with people above your grade."

"Thanks for the advice. Can you stop by Liam's house? I said we would ride together." My sister groaned and drove to Liam's house. Once we arrived, he got into the car greeting me first then my sister. We rode in an awkward silence until I turned on the radio.

When we reached the school, Liam and I headed to our lockers. A lot of people stared at us as we walked by. If its going to be like this everyday, I might as well hide in a cave.
