No.
This can't be happening.
"Janey? You okay?" Sydney asked hesitantly.
"No. I'm not fine. Sydney grab me my phone!" I started panicking.
'Why is my hair turning green!' I thought to myself. This is not normal.
Sydney went through my bag and finally found my phone. She handed it to my and I hurriedly turned on the camera.
Click.
I now have photo evidence of whatever the hell this was. I looked at my hair. You could still tell I was a blonde. You could see it through the green. But it was like a soft, neon green veil covered the entirety of my hair. I had to admit I liked it though.
"Maybe it will wash off? Or maybe even just wear off as the day goes on!" Offered Sydney, trying to be helpful.
I brushed it off as a prank from Reggie and Georgie. I never look at my hair spray can anyways when I use it. The little twerps probably switched it for spray on hair paint.
We turned and headed out of the bathroom and to the classroom just as the bell went off for the five minute break.
Throughout the day I was thinking about my hair. I never checked it again though. I figured I had more pressing matters than a small prank, like the history test in fifth hour.
As the school day came to an end I packed up my stuff and proceeded to walk home. It was surprisingly warm for it being early November. The leaves were just beginning to fall and I could still hear the sound of the birds chirping.
I was crossing Gotham's main street to get into my subdivision when I heard someone shouting. All of a sudden I felt someone throw me to the side of the street I was heading to. I turned to see...
Batman?
"Are you okay miss? You almost got hit by Joker's car. I pushed you out of the way so you wouldn't get hit" he spoke in a deep, raspy voice. It kinda scared me how serious he was. I was speechless.
"Yeah...yeah I'm fine. Thanks" he held out his hand to help me up off the side walk, which I gladly excepted.
"Where do you live? I'll escort you home" he grabbed my arm leading me to the batmobile located across the street.
"Um, sir? I'm fine really I can walk myself home" I started to protest.
"It's fine I don't want you to get hurt again" he carefully placed me in the passenger seat.
The two miles to my house was awkward to say the least. I didn't know what to say. I set my backpack between my legs on the floor with the words facing the seat. That would just be too embarrassing if he saw that.
When we got home we both quickly got out of the vehicle. I looked at him curiously as he walked up to the front door and knocked with obvious authority. When Aunt Rinelle answered her eyes almost burst out if her head.
"Hello does this young girl live here?" He asked her with the utmost respect.
"Uh...um, yes she is my niece" she stuttered.
"I escorted her home because the Joker almost ran her over. She insisted that she was fine but I thought it best to escort her home just to make sure" he explained.
"Oh thank you!" She gushed. I was ushered inside.
After he finally left I was bombarded with questions. I ignored most of them.
" Hey Aunt Rinelle? Did you see what Reggie and Georgie did to my hair " I lifted my hair to her view.
"You dyed your hair green! Do you know how furious Grayson is going to be " she yelled at me. She of course thinks her little freckle face twins wouldn't do anything bad.
" I didn't dye it! " I tried to make her see I was innocent.
Aunt Rinelle always thought that I was the bad guy.
"Whatever, go get the boys from the bus stop" she quickly shooed me away.
The walk to the bus stop was not that long but it could seem like it at times. It was only a block away.
Ring. Ring. Ring.
My phone started ringing. I looked at the caller ID and of course it was Sydney.
"Hey! You finally picked up. What did Rinelle say about your hair?" Sydney questioned.
"She thought I was lying. She never believes me "
"True, but I thought she would at least believe you wouldn't dye your hair" I could hear her mumbling on the other end trying to think.
"Hey Sydney? What are you thinking about? You are getting all quiet on me" I wanted to know what was going through her head.
"Nothing. I gotta go call you later, bye! " I tried to get a word in but she hung up on me too quickly.

Later at dinner I was sitting in my room wondering what to do.I was drying my hair for the fifth time today and looking in the mirror all the while. I took five showers today and the green just got darker. I didn't know what to do and Sydney wasn't answering her phone.
I decided to pass the time by watching the news. Not something I would usually do but I was bored. I flipped on the channel on my white Samsung flatscreen T.V. and tried listening
The newscast was the same. The large gaggle of Wayne children winning awards and such, Bruce Wayne going into retirement, and Selina Kyle Wayne flashing her expensive jewellery.
All of older Wayne kids went to my school. Brendan and Brandon were both juniors. Brianna and Brialyn were sophomores like me. Brandy and Brady were in 4th grade. Three sets of twins. I would hate to live in Wayne manor and have to live with that chaos.
I was suddenly snapped awake by someone walking up the stairs. When did I fall asleep? I looked over to see Aunt Rinelle and Uncle Grayson.
" Lucy? We... I need to talk to you about something" Aunt Rinelle looked at me with a sorrowful expression. " We need to tell you who your real parents are. Your mother is Harley Quinn and your father us the Joker " she started sobbing as the world around me suddenly turned black.
