I started walking down a deserted ally, when I heard a chuckle behind me. But I kept walking.I dried my tears and turned around when the chuckles had turned to full out laughter.
"What's a girl like you doing outside at this time of night?" It was Joker!
I stood still not wanting to give off the feeling that I was scared. He looked at me curiously. Joker walked up to me and bent down to my level.
"Why the green hair? Are you some kind of fan of mine?" For once he face showed a look of utter confusion.
"No it just randomly... did that..." I got nervous with him so close to me.
He quickly stood up and put his long fingers through his neon green hair. I took this second to look at him more closely. His purple suit was perfectly tailored, his shiny black shoes could almost be a mirror, and the little bit of skin showing was almost completely covered in make up.
"Like what you see darlin'?" His voice shook me out of my thoughts.
"Are you going to kill me?" I asked timidly.
"Didn't your parents teach you not to fuck with crazy people?" He lifted an eyebrow at me.
"I don't have parents"
"Why not?"
"They're overrated"
"I see" he circled me like a wild animal as he said this. Taking in every bit of me like I was nothing more than a experiment.
"To answer your earlier question- no - I'm not going to kill you. I don't kill kids" I sighed in relief.
"However you should go home. It's almost midnight and you don't look like you can defend yourself against people like me" he swiftly turned and walked away.
I waited till he was out of sight before I sprinted back home. I scaled the side up the side of my house and locked my windows when I got inside.
Just in time I got a text from an unknown number...
"See you soon girlie- J"
