Truth Into The Light

My first time in another realm

I stepped out of the vortex and into a city. It was calm and people were everywhere. My uncle motioned me to follow him so I did. He stopped in front what looked like a school. "This is the Academy of magic and monsters or A.M.M. for short. You'll start attending tomorrow but today you'll see the campus, get your class assigned and your library/ID card. Are you ready?" I looked at him confused "I still don't understand, what is going on? What am I? Why do i have to go to this school?" my uncle lowered himself to my level "it'll make sense soon let's go talk to your other uncle then you'll understand." he said then giving me a kiss on my forehead.

After seeing my classroom, the campus and getting everything I needed to start attending this weird school we headed to a room where I would meet my other uncle. We got to the door of the room and I noticed a skull on the door not like a real one but it was carved in the wood of the door and painted white. We walked through the door and into a kind of hall but it didn't have any other doors. There were Japanese looking arches every 5 feet or so probably holding up the ceiling, they were red and about 10 feet tall by 5 feet wide. We got to the end of the hall and into a large round room and in the middle of it was raised from the rest and stairs to get onto it. I looked around the room it was filled with tombstones and crosses. Then I notice on the raised part of the room was a man and a boy who looked about my age. They were looking at something couldn't see from where I was. My uncle started walking up the stairs to the two standing in the middle of the room. "Sir I have brought her she's ready to start attending tomorrow" the man turned around. He was tall and wearing black dress shoes, black slacks, a white button up shirt and a blood red tie. He looked at me then taped on the boy's shoulder he turned his head his red eyes staring at me. After a moment he turned to me and smiled at me. He was wearing the same shoes and slacks but his shirt was blood red and a white tie. "So Father this is her? She's shorter than I was expecting." the boy asked still looking at me. The man nodded with a smile from ear to ear "welcome Ashley to my wonderful school. I am Death and I'm your uncle" he nudged the boy who groaned then said "hello Ashley. I am your cousin Shawn and son of Death"

After talking to uncle Death and Shawn we went through another vortex my uncle Death had made. On the other side of the vortex we stepped out into a land of fire, very tall walls and a castle in some sort of bubble. We walked to a very large gate and Death just touched it and it swung open, we continued walking to the edge of the bubble. I stopped to notice it was snowing inside of the bubble. How could it be snowing it's so hot out here I thought then I followed everyone through the edge of the bubble and I was surprised to feel the freezing air against my skin. Shawn noticed I was cold and wrapped an arm around me and smiled. "I bet you're wondering how it's snowing in Hell" I gasped "this is hell?" Shawn nodded "I thought you realized that because of all the fire but it's ok that you didn't. Now let's hurry and get you inside before you freeze to death."
