The Disappearance

Chapter 7

They had stayed at Mrs Croxtons for the weekend were staying longer to. She went out to the market to get some groceries, Max went out to find a job and James walked Skylar down to college.

College looked practically empty and the teachers were sending the children into a massive hall for some announcement? A old perchy woman stood on some steps and held out a microphone. It was an important message to all.

'Children, I all want you to know that some children as you may know are disappearing due to a man on the loose know as, Shaun Smith.' A gasp let out in the room and everybody looked at Skylar because her surname was Smith and that was her dad! The perchy woman spoke again and continued, 'We are all warned to be very careful, so DO NOT stay out late at night and please do not be nasty to the daughter of Mr Smith and I mean it children!' Everybody glanced over at Skylar in disgust like if was her fault!

The day took forever to end and she was waiting outside for James to come and pick her up but it was taking to long so she just waited ten minutes and walked away from school, she rung his phone, no answer. She tried three more times, no use. A big black car pulled up outside of the school and the windows were tinted black and was very  dark she  couldn't tell who was in it except that it was following her. She walked down the footpath and the car followed then she ran and came to a dead end on the road and the car was only a few feet away. An alley way was next to her, if she decided to take it it would take her to the other side but if she didn't... The men got out of the car, her father was one of them and the other two she didn't recognise but they were coming after her so she ran down the alley then a person was on top of the roof of  a building next to were she was, he called her and it was James... What the hell was he doing up there?!?  He threw down a rope but it was to short, her dad was on her left  a man on the right and the other wasn't here... great! James pulled down the rope more and more so she gripped it tightly but her father grabbed her by the waist and pulled her back tightly then suddenly took out something from his pocket and the third guy came with a person tied up and he grabbed the shadowy figure by the hair and holding a knife to its throat. When she noticed who it was she felt....  sick to her stomach!
